  1. A recent VISA card purchase necessitates me sadly considering moving on this beauty... A fantastic condition thru-neck 80's Kramer Forum III bass in a gorgeous blue/teal sparkle (subtle) finish. This bass is in a solid 9.5 condition and is the rare higher grade thru-neck version of the more common bolt on Forum IV's that occasionally surface from time to time. Pickups are 'Spector' branded passive PJ pickups with the legendary K-Haz (Korean 'Haz Labs'-copy) active preamp. Upgrade the pickups if you wish to full active EMG PJs and you'd be blasting down walls!! Black hardware, a 'Spector' branded heavy duty bridge and a rosewood board with diamond inlays complete the classy looks of this gorgeous bass! Price is £400 firm (bargain!). NO trades, thank you. Payment by cash on collection (from Guildford/Woking area), bank transfer or Paypal (buyer pays all fees). I can deliver/meet within 50 miles of Guildford/Woking area for fuel costs or I can courier (insured) for £40-£50. Please see the link below to my extensive, positive feedback and assurances of a clean, honest transaction. Cheers!
  2. A possible purchase has got me considering selling one of my Spectors..... aaarrghhh.... So, here is a beautiful translucent dark cherry Euro 4 LX with active EMG PJ set up, non-trim Tonepump preamp, gold hardware, rosewood board and all the lush curves/ergonomic comfort and authoritative punchy tone that Spectors are well known for! Condition is a solid 9+ with just two small surface lacquer dings - one below the bridge and one on the top edge (both can be seen in the close-up pic below) - and the original owner had temporarily moved the rear strap pin to directly below the bridge so a small hole is left. A new one of these would cost you £1600 minimum, if you can find this colour. I'm looking for just £1100 o.n.o. cash, bank transfer or Paypal (buyer pays all fees). Bass can be collected from Guildford/Woking, Surrey area or I can courier (with full insurance) for approx £45. I am also open to meeting/delivering for fuel costs within 50 miles of Guildford/Woking area. No trades thanks..... and please see my extensive positive feedback (link below) for assurance of a clean, honest transaction. Cheers!
  3. Just seen the terribly sad news on Facebook that our fellow Basschatter John Green (bassist with Police tribute 'The Secret Police') passed away suddenly last night. RIP mate 😞
  4. I bought Andy's.....err..... Wife..... and very accommodating he was too! Making sure she fitted my delivery window and packaging her extremely well. I've been bedding her in ever since.... Cheers!
  5. Fantastic bassist! But he is of course mainly duplicating the fantastic basslines of the late Dee Murray (RIP) and other legends like David Paton and Kenny Passarelli....
  6. Toto at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea on Thursday - praying it stays dry as it's an outdoor show!
  7. I had it advertised at the same time! Well, you know where we are now - if you want it - you're welcome and can pick it up when you collect your Mum from the airport! lol!
  8. I'm off to the London Palladium tonight to see AOR/Prog-Pomp legends Styx! Can't wait....!! THE best sounding live band I've ever seen.... all amazing musicians and prob the best rock drummer on the scene in Todd Sucherman.
  9. Johann bought, paid in advance for... and then collected my fake Marshall fronts. Excellent transaction and highly recommended. Cheers!
  10. Saw Tower Of Power at the Royal Albert Hall last night! Fantastic grooves (as expected) but shame it took half the set for anyone to realise that the bass DI wasn't working! You'd think the soundman would have noticed.... New singer has some serious pipes and the horns were on it as always but I prefer seeing them in a more intimate venue. Something about the energy/need to dance didn't transfer to the more polite RAH.
  11. Enjoy! The Epi Vintage Pro Birds are awesome! Love my black one and want a sunburst one now!
  12. Not me! By all accounts (from previous signings) you just get shuffled through quickly with a signature and a handshake (if you're lucky). No time for a selfie or a "how do you play that bit in YYZ?" lol! I don't pay again for something I already have...... unless it's another Spector! 😉
  13. I can concur - these are really fabulous cabs. Extremely well made and incredible sound and dispersion..... my (Kemper-using) guitarist demo'd one with our theatre show recently and has already decided to order one as soon as he has the money! I too noticed the difference on stage - I could hear him a lot clearer wherever I roamed on the large stage.... and seemingly without him needing to do any volume boost. I had the opportunity to briefly try one of the powered 1x12 cabs at home with my Tech21 DP3X and it sounded monstrous - I'd like to demo it again at some point and REALLY give it some welly!
  14. I get the 'signing only books bought in the store' bit..... but it's too little, too late. Anyone who's a fan will already have the book - and probably paid £20 for it. A book signing tour needs to coincide with the book release - not 6 months later!
  15. Saw our very own resident @Hamster on Friday night in Horsham playing with his Quo tribute supporting Quo man Rhino Edwards. Nice solid grooves from our man on a stealth black Stingray!
  16. I'd go 2x12. Worth looking out for a used GenzBenz Neox212 cab. Less than half the cost of a Barefaced cab and the best value for money/weight/performance you can get imho.
  17. Yep, pre-Korg Spectors.... in particular 'custom order' Euro models and US made/signed by Stuart Spector models.
  18. @Hamster - you need this
  19. They reckon the 800 is coming in the next fortnight. Wishful thinking I reckon.... Legacy 800
  20. Yep, the 800RB is still possibly the finest amp ever made. I have 4 of them because they are rare as hens teeth over here.... lol! If they can make a lightweight soundalike then they can take my money... Sounds like late summer by the time we see them here then....
  21. Fabulous MarkBass amp & cab..... one of only 350,000 currently available on the used market as the fashion for bright yellow, sterile sounding backline has sadly moved on to another brand. Oh, hold on, that's now on Basschat....
  22. Has anyone heard when these will be available in the UK? https://www.gallien-krueger.com/legacy-heads I LOVE my old 400RB & 800RB heads and I'm very interested to see/try/hear the new 800 Legacy head!
  23. Gorgeous....! Been eyeing these lately and this one looks beautiful! Sadly, my money is tied up in a bass order elsewhere..... GLWTS!
