    I LOVE this bass...... but need to move it on to clear some funds for a possible upcoming purchase. I'll be sad to see it go as it is a FANTASTIC, high quality and incredible value for money bass with a monstrous selection of tones on board.... but needs be.... Often compared to basses 3 or 4 times it's price and always comes out on top!     This is a fantastic opportunity to obtain a basically mint Spector NS2000/4 from the early 2000’s. Features include: 3-piece maple neckthru body construction (as per US/original Euro models) Curved maple body & figured maple top (as per US/original Euro models) 34” scale / 24 fret neck EMG-HZ pickups with 9v EMG BTS circuit Brass nut Heavy duty bespoke Spector locking bridge and hardware (all black) The finish on this particular one is a beautiful translucent slate grey which under lights seems to flipflop between a blue/purple and greenish grey. Condition is really quite wonderful ‘Mint minus’ (I literally found approx 3 light surface scuffs!) and it has a very playable and responsive low action set up making this bass a pleasure to play. Please note – the Spector ‘crown’ inlays are fretboard stickers (covering dots). These do NOT get in the way when playing and can easily be removed. Bass is located in Guildford/Woking area and I can courier at buyers expense (prob approx £30) or can meet in South East England for petrol.     Once you get near my collection size (i.e. 72 basses) the wife doesn't notice a new one coming in or old one going anyway... Not that I believe I need to ask permission. As long as all bills/household costs etc are covered, what I do with my money is my business.

    I worked on a tribute 'project' for PRS a few years ago and the results were the obvious contenders.... Beatles, Queen, Abba.... followed by Stones, Zep, Who etc....

    They were a ltd Japanese market-only release and are VERY rare now, particularly in good condition..... and especially with recent importation problems due to CITES. I got them for reasonable prices pre-CITES and my ultimate aim is to have two of them refinished/resprayed in other colours/graphics. :)

    I've got 70+ instruments. I didn't buy them as investments, I bought them because I wanted them and enjoy playing them/owning them.... but I guess a significant number of them are a nice nest egg for the future

    What Dave said. We always played the 'definitive' version of the song, be it the original recorded version or a later liver version that everyone considers has that 'certain something'. i.e. energy, dynamics etc or arrangement that built on the recorded version.

    The venues you play at have PRS licenses. 3 - 4.2% of gross box office goes to PRS (along with the set list the band performed) and this is then paid out to the songwriters/publishers.

    A bass (fully boxed up and weighing 9kgs) I sent to Germany cost £60 (fully insured for £500). Depending on value, insurance, size and packaging costs this may be right or a little overpriced. The judgement is yours...

    Possibly the best known and most used bass rack preamp on the market. Classic solid bass tones and that rock grind when needed.... Barely used and housed in a rack so excellent condition. These go for £360 (RRP)/£300 (shop price) new but I'm asking just *SOLD* The 1U rackmount Tech 21 SansAmp RBI is a pumped-up, expanded version of the popular SansAmp Bass Driver DI pedal. In addition to Drive, Presence, and active Bass and Treble controls, the SansAmp RBI adds a dedicated Mid control and an XLR Output Level control for optimum performance with PA systems. It also features an Effect Loop with a Mix 50/50 switch (for parallel or series operation), an XLR output with selectable levels, and a buffered direct XLR output to provide a dry signal.     If you're looking - you already know how fantastic this preamp is! The preferred choice for many years of Geddy Lee among others.... a truly versatile preamp for all situations. Nowhere seems to have these in stock in the UK at the moment so this is quite rare. RRP is £350 but I'm offering mine up (excellent condition/boxed) for just £240 posted. Only real marks are some slight discolouration on the back panel. The Tech 21 SansAmp RPM is a versatile instrument 1u rack pre-amp with parametric equalization and SansAmp technology. This single space rackmount model was adapted from our SansAmp Acoustic DI pedal, with the addition of a Drive control, and redesigned as an expanded multi-instrument tool. With a sweepable, semi-parametric EQ and variable gain, the SansAmp RPM is a supercharged tone shaper for any signal source. Partner it with a SansAmp RBI for the ultimate bass pre-amp system (see my other thread for a RBI for sale), or with a SansAmp PSA for total domination. Drive adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive. Active Bass and Treble controls cut or boost ±12dB Mid is also an active tone control, cut or boost ±12dB.
