  1. Have a free bump for a FANTASTIC bass cab.... and a top bloke selling it. I owned one for these for years and they really are absolute monster cabs - they cut through any mix with huge punch and definition without any wooliness. If I had the space I'd still have mine!
  2. Though I own and endorse a large amount of Spector equipment I big it up because I have extensive experience playing their instruments and I believe in them......NOT for any commercial or financial gain. If Warwick offered me an endorsement I'd say no thanks because I don't like their recent product.... πŸ˜‰
  3. Result! Welcome to the (more than one) Spector club! 😎
  4. Fantastic songs, basslines and production - what's not to like? Rutger & Mike played some lovely, melodic lines - almost songs in themselves and should be standards in any bassist's arsenal!
  5. I think you could be my Brother from a different Mother! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‚
  6. Welcome Martin! That would have been a Spector NS2. Stunning basses, of which I'm honoured to own more than a few.... The NS2A was Korean made and came in teal, red, black and white
  7. Maybe next time chap..... Have a great gig yourself!
  8. Thankyou re: harmonies. We spent a lot of time getting it right πŸ™‚ Warwick?!?!?!?!?!? Pfffffft...... it's a Spector! No 'copies' around here πŸ˜‰ I use a GK400RB or 800RB. Plenty of low end & glassy top from the Spector....Lo mid boost on the GK. πŸ™‚
  9. Can you please put all the decent bassist seminars on the Sunday afternoon? I'll be gigging Saturday which means I'm unavailable from early afternoon on the Saturday. Sunday afternoon will give me a chance to lie in on Sunday morning and then take a leisurely journey up at lunchtime. Cheers! πŸ˜‰
  10. I'll wait till it's on tape....... ..... like their live show..... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚
  11. Kate Bush tribute 'Cloudbusting' last Friday night at the Half Moon, Putney featuring our very own @sprocketflup on fretted, fretless and electric cello! So many great songs, so many fantastic basslines.... and so many tears of emotion. Wow!! (pun) It doesn't get better than that!
  12. Great band..... I used to play in them until I got too busy. Highly recommended - great fun, great basslines (courtesy of Kebabkid) and all the legends of ska, not just Madness :) What's not to like?!?
  13. Cheers Kebabkid! It's a great fun gig... and half of that fun comes from the give and take of energy with the audience :)
  14. Not Rob though.... he's a lovely chap :)
  15. Mine arrived yesterday! Beautiful book...... and one that's gonna take me a LONG time to get through, carefully turning the pages and reading every description and interview as well as taking in every picture.... Best get a few nice bottles of red wine ready to keep me hydrated πŸ˜‰
  16. I can only speak from upgrading the pickups in an NS2A to full active EMGs and comparing that bass to an NS2 with EMG's/US Haz. The US Haz sounds richer and more present than the K-Haz...
  17. Yep, that's a K-Haz....
  18. Good point chap.... however, not strictly true. The (Korean) K-Haz pre-amp is the same as found in the Kramer era Korean Spector NS2A/B & C basses. This pre-amp is not the same (or anywhere near as desirable) as the proper US Haz Lab preamp found in US Spector NS2's and the Kramer American basses.
  19. Mine has been dispatched by Amazon and due to be delivered tomorrow :)
  20. KISS references: Cheap Trick reference KISS in their track Surrender "Got my KISS records out". Jimmy Barnes/INXS reference Paul Stanley of KISS (amongst others) in their track 'Good Time Tonight'. "Paul Stanley's gonna be there tonight" Jellyfish's 'Joining A Fan Club' is about joining the KISS Army....
  21. Awww.... I love you too Paul πŸ˜‰
  22. Always been looked after well by Lee Voss, Stuart & all the temp staff. From trying gear to price matching/beating to ordering - all good. Surprised if there's been an issue that needs addressing right to the top?
  23. Dee was fantastic.... part of a school of 70's bass players that I adore for their melody, groove, note choice and overall contribution to the sound of any songs they were involved in. Love him.... Give me some Dee Murray, Peter Cetera, Tiran Porter, John Deacon, David Paton, Rutger Gunnarsson, Martin Tiefensee, Joe Puerta, etc over most any other bassist/bass styles since...
  24. People who add sarcastic comments and disappear without explaining
  25. Nice one! A couple of great bands you're supporting there too! :)
