SORRY! Accidentally posted my old post from previous page again. Ignore....

A little bit of neck dive, but not T-bird bad... nothing a good wide strap won't cure.

That happened with my theatre show a few years ago. I started the band with the drummer.... and we spent a year getting the right line-up in place. 2nd guitarist comes in, says he has lots of spare time so can book the gigs. Very kind.... and the 7 of us go out and play some amazing shows around the country with great reviews mentioning our authenticity, attention to detail, big bv's, multi-layered parts etc. Without our knowledge 2nd guitarist decides he wants ALL the money so starts a 2nd band doing the EXACT same set list but with just 4 people and a box of lies on click (containing keys, bv's, additional gtr etc). Tells all venues we have split up but he has a new band doing the same thing which can take over all dates without interruption We lose ALL our hard won shows to his new band and we have to try to start all over again.... then Covid hits. Post-Covid he takes over where he left off. Venues weren't interested in our side of the story, they just want a band playing those songs. Not many people I really wouldn't p*ss on if they were on fire, but he's one...

Out of warranty.... 3+ years

My transmitter sadly seems to have an intermittent fault (sound dropouts) around the cable input on the transmitter. It's not the cable as I have 3 (incl Desgnacables) and they all do it. Anyone have any suggestions for what I can do, apart from buy a whole new system. No point buying just a transmitter (approx £300) as I may as well just buy the whole new GLXD+ system at that price...😭

I depped for the 1st time with the fantastic Duran Duran/Spandau Ballet tribute show 'From Gold To Rio' at Market Drayton theatre on Saturday night. Great band, soooooooo much fun and basslines that kept me concentrating for the full 2 hours! Looking forward to my next dep with them in December now!

Alice Cooper at Hammy-O last night. Seen him numerous times over the last 30 years and last night was one of the best. Fantastic set list and the band were tight and rocking. Great sound too. Loved it

Not a typo.... Rough old squaddie town. Best avoided...

Former 'Alan Parsons Live Project' guitarist, now respected blues guitarist.... Alastair Greene at Aldershit West End Centre last night. Great player, gig and venue!

And has anyone ever actually bought one?

Your best (and worst!) bass gear purchases of 2024?

Best: My Ali-Express Kipenspector (for the price, though it needed some work).......and my HAZard lAMPs pedal which turns all my Spectors, regardless of preamp (Tonepump, Aguilar, Darkglass, EMG) into US HAZ loaded monsters! Worst: Rotosound Stainless Steel Swing Bass strings. Too glassy to start, then die too quickly. -
"Egg with Soldiers Punk"? The specific English term "eggs with soldiers" appears to date from the 1960s. The modern phrase first appeared in print in 1966 in British writer Nicolas Freeling's novel The Dresden Green.

Well, they won't be selling many at those prices. Probably not enough to even cover their hyped launch..... 🤣
-
I own two of them so I don't dislike it THAT much It's just lazy on the part of Gibson/Epiphone. Why make such a great instrument and then fall at the simplest of hurdles?!
-
I'm talking the shape of the Tbird Vintage Pro, the lack of moving pickup and pickguard shape on the Grabber etc. Easy things done wrong....
-
It's actually a no-win situation. No-one really wants anything cutting edge and new from Fender, Gibson etc. They just want what they do.... done well! e.g. Gibson should reissue Grabber, Ripper & G3 properly and make the Epiphone models more authentic. It just becomes prompts a sly grin and chuckle when they announce an 'innovation' launch and then make something no-one wants.... or just add a few new colours...

Obviously there was the Coda bass which was a very traditional jazz style bass. Maybe the BOB bass? https://reverb.com/item/21662463-spector-bass-bob-5-made-in-usa-stuart-spector-design

Hamer Cruise meets Guild Pilot. Non-Reverse P pickup (doh!) and block inlays. Could be ANY brand. Nothing Spector about it.... Not for me, ta.

Simply Dan (Steely Dan tribute) in Wokingham on Friday night. Best Dan tribute of all the ones I've seen (Simply Dan, Stanley Dee, Stealing Dan & Don, Nearly Dan etc). I'd even go as far as to say that their guitarist Darren is one of THE finest guitarists in the country. 😎

Of those, we'll be doing Chant #1....

I'm REALLY looking forward to depping with these guys at the Festival Drayton Centre, in Market Drayton (Shropshire), next Saturday night (19th Oct)! Will be nice to play with my great mate Andy Fox (drums) again having shared the stage with him in various bands over the last 20 years 😎 https://www.festivaldraytoncentre.com/whatson/liveevents/liveeventsFeature.php?FROM-GOLD-TO-RIO-THE-GREATEST-HITS-OF-SPANDAU-BALLET-DURAN-DURAN-297 Some of the best pop basslines of the 80's so lots to get my teeth into! 😁

I can hardly contain my enthusiasm to find out more! Sorry, I meant I can hardly find my enthusiasm for the same old repackaged stuff.
