Decided I need to thin out the herd a little to make way for possible incoming purchases...... it's a hard choice what to let go..... so I do this with sadness/regret and way withdraw at any point.... This is a unique piece.... a real one-off bass. The seller I obtained it from said he discovered it was part of a multi-instrument Japanese Samurai art mural done by artist Takeshi in 1988 and used for Ibanez promotion in Japan. The other mural pieces were believed to include a top of the range Ibanez guitar among other things.... A top of the range example of the Soundgear series it features EMG active pickups/circuit, sharktooth/fin fretboard inlays and heavy duty Ibanez hardware along with deep inset bolt-on neck and the unique artwork illustrated below. As to be expected, the sound is bold, dynamic and punchy and this bass turns heads everywhere it is seen. I'm always being asked about it whenever I play it out....! It has a few scratches and lacquer chips, as to be expected of a bass 30+ years old but nothing major and plays smoothly and accurately across the board. Hard to put a value on this but I believe I have set a fair price for a quality 'top of the range' Japanese instrument with inlays, EMG pickups/circuitry and hand painted unique/original artwork. Will send well packed in a padded gigbag within boxing etc. Payment by bank transfer (preferred) or Paypal (buyer pays fees). Please see my extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a clean, fast and trustworthy transaction.

*SOLD* Found this in my lock up - hasn't been used in years but I remember it having some awesome grit/overdrive tones. Shame to see it sitting unused so offering it here. Has a few scratches/scrapes as to be expected from pedalboard use but in full working condition and still with original box/instructions. Asking a bargain £30 posted. Payment by bank transfer (preferred) or Paypal (buyer pays all fees). Please see my extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a clean, fast and trustworthy transaction.

Due to a change in circumstances/requirements I've decided to move on this amazing Ampeg Scrambler Bass Overdrive Pedal which is in mint/unused condition - I hadn't even put it on my pedalboard yet! Comes in it's original packaging with booklet. The official spiel: The Ampeg Scrambler Bass Overdrive pedal infuses your sound with authentic Ampeg grit, grind and sag. Dial in a huge range of overdrive from subtle to screaming. Add in a touch of highs, then blend in with your dry signal to create the perfect tone. It’s pure analog Ampeg overdrive that’s super affordable. Asking a bargain £70 posted. Payment via bank transfer (preferred) or Paypal (you pay all fees). Please see my extensive positive feedback thread for assurance of a clean, fast and trustworthy transaction.

Decided to move on my fantastic Finnish-made Darkglass B7K as I really haven't used it outside my house and it doesn't suit my current requirements. In excellent condition with just the faintest scratches from pedal board mounting. It comes in it's original box with instruction card etc. The official spiel: The Darkglass Electronics Microtubes B7K is a monster analogue bass preamp. Taking the powerful dynamic saturation circuit of the previously successful B3K, the B7K adds a four-band equalizer and a balanced line driver for even greater versatility and power. The ultimate studio tool, it's the next level of bass tone. Used by pro players on stages all across the globe, the Darkglass Electronics Microtubes B7K will take your sound into a whole new stratosphere. I'm asking SOLD posted. Payment by bank transfer (preferred) or Paypal (fees paid by buyer). Please see my extensive feedback thread for assurance of a clean, fast, trustworthy transaction.

Mine arrived on Saturday (sorry I haven't been online since!) just as I was heading out the door to a covers gig. Took it with me and tried the suggested settings in soundcheck (blowing the rest of the band across the bar!!) lol! Ended up just using it for a tuner/mute but had a bit more of a basic play for 1/2hr yesterday and already it's sounding sweet. Looking forward to giving it more of a work out this week but I'm already finding that less is more as it can give just that 'right' amount of bite/harmonic overtone without losing the low end. Tasty!! Big thanks to Darren for sorting this for us!

Excellent news. Yamaha have always made great product with excellent QC. This can only be good for Ampeg.... I wouldn't be surprised to see Billy Sheehan head back to Ampeg now. He plays Yamaha and Line 6 (owned by Yamaha) so would make sense to return to a one stop shop....

Ooooh.... nice! A D-Bird as well...... I've got one of those coming in Nov/Dec too!

I rang them yesterday afternoon and they said they only have the sunburst. They have no delivery date for white or ebony and have to just wait and see..... Maybe they DID have an ebony or two in stock temporarily but only to meet existing orders (yours included)....?! -
Or is it 2 days? That's how I understood it.... When he said on Saturday "booking an early Friday finish next week" he could have been referring to either?!? *raises eyebrow hopefully*

Is it Friday yet?!?

Ah, the joys of working from home I don't reckon much work will be getting done that day though! lol!

Had just got a new Spector Euro and took it to rehearsal. Put it on a stand and drummer knocked over one of his cymbal stands which fell straight onto the edge of the body making a thru lacquer to wood gouge below the bridge

Getting REALLY excited for this! Any update on arrival in the UK?!

A sweeping statement that means nothing. I love a good US Precision, but I've played and owned better Japanese made Fender P's for half the price. I love a good P sound but have an old Tokai P that delivers an identical tone (possibly even better). The Precision is an icon and I love it. But there are imho equally good and/or better and more versatile instruments out there..... many of which suit alternative styles of playing better.....

I'd get Stuart Spector to build me a USA NS2 4 string, with Kramer-era neck dimensions, dark ultraviolet (purple) finish on a 5A quilted maple body, ebony fingerboard with abalone crown inlays, hazlab preamp and gold hardware..... ...... and a box of tissues.....

You'd be unlikely to obtain a new fretted neck. Unless someone breaks up and sells parts (unlikely) you will have to buy another bass.
