1. Sounds great! One of my lecturers from uni (Jim Barrett) plays the bass sax in Wonderbrass! Dan
2.
Sounds like a bargain. I'm easy with either Saturday or Sunday. @dan2112: Are you related to Chris2112?
No I am not! Also if anyone is interested, I could bring my Rick copy to the bass day...be interesting to have a shoot out between a copy and the real deal! Dan
3. Yep that sounds great to me
4. Originally a village boy from outside of Carmarthen...Been in Cardiff for the last year and a half! Great place to be!
5. I'm in! I have a status energy custom, a modded mim jazz, a bass terror and an ashdown classic 1x15. Dan
6. I've tried a handful of cabs with the bass terror. The sp 210, the 410, they big 1x15 and currently I'm running an Ashdown classic 1x15 mini. Hands down in my opinion the orange 1x15 was the best cabinet in terms of volume and sheer mass of sound though it is one heavy heavy cab. The sp (isobaric) cabs were very interesting to me. Trying them out in the shop, I was very impressed by the sheer tone and volume coming from the 210...my only complaint (which is quite petty IMO) is the size of the cab..the thing is TINY! How it will handle at gig volume...I can't tell you but I can imagine my self finding it difficult to hear due to the cab being so low to the floor. To me, the Ashdown has the best balance from the 4 cabs. The Ashdown is small, light weight, has the volume of the two smaller orange cabs but had the same satisfying tone as the bigger orange. So IMO, the best bet for a cab to math the bass terror? A 1x15 with no tweeter..all IMO
7. They look cool! Anyone else notice that the controls are 'reversed' with the bass terror head being volume, treble, mid, bass gain?
8. That's such a cool story Be interesting to see the program it will be featured in!
9. Does anyone else think that is one horrid headstock decal?
10. Hey, are the jazz knobs push on ones or do they have a screw on the side?
11. Not the wife....but my mum gave me money to pay off a cab and I treated my self to an Orange Bass terror from cash from a recent sale! And that calendar looks pretty dam swish!
12. Stuck in the house because of snow BUMP
13. Thanks oldslapper!! First time I plugged her in...just could not believe the beef or the volume coming off it!! The 2x10 must have been deadly! I still think these combos are a better deal than the shuttles, much more features Dan
14. I'd love to have a cat!! But unfortunately I don't :/ Dan
15. THIS IS NOW SOLD • 300 watts @ 8 ohms/425 watts @ 4 ohms • 2 Channel Preamp (F.E.T. & 12AX7 Tube) • Two Button Footswitch for Channel Switch & Channel Mix is Included • Signal Shape Circuits: L.F. Extend, Mid Scoop, H.F. Attack (Optional Footswitch Available) • Active 5 Band EQ • Master Volume • Active/Passive Input • Signal Mute (Foot Switchable) • XLR Direct Out • Effects Loop • Fan Cooled • GNX 12300 12" Neodymium Loudspeaker • Compression Bullet Tweeter w/Level Control • Edge Lift Handles • Bottom Mounted Kickback Handle • 59 lbs http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid...631&cid=118 As far as sound goes, this amp is very versatile and can go from a modern sound to a nice deep thump. The valve channel is one of the best I've heard and the overdriven sound is very musical and this can be accessed via foot switch which is included. Condition of the amp is great with only a few marks on the grille and the carpet as started to fluff a little. Oh and did I mention this amp is LOUD?? combine it with another cab and you've got a monster! I'm looking for around £450 o.n.o for the combo, not really looking for any trades unless it's an orange bass terror. Collection can be arranged from Cardiff or will meet up at a reasonable distance OR can post at buyers charge (obviously when the snow has cleared : ) ). Any questions, just mail me up!!
