Agree, the science and theory says they shouldn’t but I’ve had a good few 210/115 rigs and they’ve all been great, with both cabs together always sounding better than each cab on its own.

Well the Hartke rig will be more than up to that job. As will the Markbass/GK, but from your comments I’d lean towards the Hartke rig. -
Essentially 400 watts into each cab, and as each cab is a 410 100 watts to each speaker. But even if there were a danger of blowing a cab you’d you’ll blow your eardrums before that with the power available. Only real thing to be wary of is matching different cabs, doesn’t always work from what I’ve read, tho from experience I’ve never encountered any of the problems mentioned.

Unusual to not get a reply from @Ashdown Engineering hopefully they’ll be along soon to advise, but I think you’ve hit it, either valve on way out or possibly just coming out of its holder (happened to me on a Marshall MB amp).

Mudpup has described the ABM600 really well, and that amp would be my recommendation. The RM sounds very close to it but there is just “something extra” in the sound of the ABM. It’s my fave amp that I’ve ever had, I foolishly sold mine last year when I left my band then realised my folly and bought another. Plus they’re not too heavy which is always a consideration with tubes.

I think Chris has hit it on the nail there. Having played bass, guitar, and done lead vocals in bands all whilst in the same clothes and body, the amount of attention I received from the ladyfolk whilst doing guitar and lead vocals for a short time far outweighs that of when I’ve played bass. Must admit I never got any attention from cats though.....

In a car with no other band members gear Mono M80 or Vertigo. In a car with other band members gear or back of a van Hiscox.

Ashdown RM cabs are decent sounding, light, and not too expensive. Their ABM NEO range a bit more expensive and possibly slightly heavier (think about 17kg for the 210).

For me it’s single Precision pickup. I love Jazz basses (neck on full, bridge on about a quarter) and P/J setups (both on full) but that full on thump of that single Precision pickup is “me”. I suppose I got that from the punk bassists of the late 70s such as JJ Burnel, Bruce Foxton, Paul Simenon etc, where the bass was very prominent in the mix.

Sold As above, price includes delivery in the UK In good condition, only bought this year so no gigging wear & tear. Have put copper shielding tape on the back around the pickup slot. -
Good shout, I’ve just checked again (3 times to make sure) and it’s 4.75kg or 10lbs7oz.

I’ve never met him but the few people I know who have - in a working environment, not as fans - didn’t have anything bad to say about him.

Very good job, the intro sounded just like Slash and when the rest of the instruments come in it’s so near to the original. No disrespect to your singer, but that’s probably the only point you realise it’s not actually GnR playing. -

Sold One nice 1987 EBMM 2 band eq Stingray with Spider hard case. Plays and sounds as you would expect. As per this era the neck is gloss finish, truss rod adjustment is at the headstock and the battery cover is silver. This is a players bass, it’s in good condition for a 34 year old instrument but it does show signs of life on the road. For comparison a Fender Road Worn shows much more wear & tear. As such I’ve priced this accordingly, pristine examples go for a lot more! The pic showing the wear on the back of the neck is around 7th to 9th fret. Weight is 4.75kg or 10lbs7oz Due to many threads detailing courier nightmares it’s collection/meet up only. No trades thanks.

Neil just bought a Jazz bass from me (gonna miss that one, I know it). Good comms, we did the obligatory - now it’s permitted - service station meet for the deal and in time honoured tradition had a good chat about bass/music etc. Recommended.

From age 48 to 54 was the most intensive gigging period of my life, in an originals band, including my first experience of overseas tours and festivals. Fairly lucky in that the punk/Oi scene is largely made up of people of a similar age. So don’t let age be a barrier. -
