  1. Not to forget turning half of Europe into the world’s biggest open prison.
  2. They are very good, I received a bass in one of these last week. Pretty much indestructible I’d say.
  3. Carry on My Wayward Son by Kansas. It’s a tricky one, with timing changes & plenty of different parts in it. I can play them all it’s just remembering them all and the order they’re in.
  4. The black/maple Jazz made by these guys on Reverb looks really nice, and sounds good too.
  5. I think that’s the main issue, whilst people have the option to break the rules they will, the only way to remain safe until all this ends is to remove the option.
  6. Sadly my order has received the curse of PMT Online, as such I’ve only received one of the cabs, not both. Not a real problem, delivery was free, and I can have the other delivered to my workplace but I was so looking forward to getting them today. Still, tried one out and it sounds great with the ABM600 so very pleased with it.
  7. And having tried it today, well I’m going to have to put the hours in shall we say!
  8. Fortunately Ashdown did that strange thing for a company, they listened, and on the EVOII version the silver front panel is now matt, so easier to see the controls but your make up will suffer.....
  9. I was meant to be seeing Stiff Little Fingers at The Roundhouse in March this year. It was then pushed back to September this year, and then to March next year, and I reckon it’s likely that it will be pushed back again.
  10. Agree, the cabs I’ve bought I would have bought anyway but hoped they’d be in the BF sales. I only made the decision to buy them about a month back, and with no gigs it wasn’t a hardship to wait and see. I now just hope they’re not 20% off In Xmas/January sales.
  11. Sounds great, my band are possibly going to be adding this in to the set at some point, really suits our guitarists style.
  12. Really like that, Ad, will you guys be gigging once the world gets back to normal or is this a recording only project?
  13. My 1987 2-band Stingray which, as I’ve finally realised that I just don’t get on with the sound of ‘Rays, I will sadly be moving on.
  14. From my limited experience with one I’d say that’s pretty much spot on. If I compare it to my gear it’s like turning the valve drive on my ABM600 on to full from off - same sound just with more life and harmonics.
  15. Of those listed I only have experience of the Tonehammer, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, it’s a great pedal if looking for more vintage style tones, such as valve warmth.
  16. Yeah I picked up one of those a few weeks back, just didn’t think of Black Friday plus had no idea if they only had one so nabbed at the time. But ordered two of the ABM PRO-NEO 210s from PMT today, a nice saving of £95 so pretty pleased with that. And yes, a new 600 watt two-cab stack in lockdown, much needed 🤣
  17. The bassist in The Macc Lads has been using a Westone for years - I first saw them in 86 and he was using it, and still was last year when we gigged with them.
  18. The studio we rehearse at is well set up, staggered entry/exit times, masks to be worn by everyone loading in/out, staff all wear masks, only online booking/payment so no banknotes changing hands. Sanitiser in every room, the only part of their equipment any of us would touch is their bass cab when connecting up my amp, same with keyboard player plugging into the PA. It’s probably as safe as most workplaces that are COVID-secure. The only real element of risk is it’s another place being frequented, with yet more people, whereas if staying at home there’s less risk involved, providing family members have followed rules/guidance in their workplaces or shops they visit.
  19. I recently bought a B-Stock one of these, sadly with all that’s going on not been able to use it at any kind of volume. Just hoping that once I do it’s ok - still, Ashdown just an hour away so worst comes to the worst, I have to buy them a packet of biscuits to get it through their door.
  20. Our rehearsal studio has on its website that the guidance is that rehearsals may be to prepare for upcoming gigs or potential gigs, therefore anyone rehearsing with a view to getting paid work is welcome to rehearse there. It’s a difficult one, I think it’s a loophole that people can use legitimately - we actually do have paid work booked, the one and only gig we ever intend to do, but following the guidance we fit in.
  21. You have to put in the discount code when going through the checkout. If the 10% discount applies to the item it will be on that items page.
  22. PMT have 10% off many items on orders over £149. Looks like they may be getting my dosh.
