Well I think the turning point was seeing the new ABM NEO cabs, knowing I could have an ABM set up again that I could carry just kept on jiggling away at me.

The notched pots are also on my new ABM600, but weren’t on the old one. I like them too.

Great amps aren’t they, the RMs. I’ve just gone full circle and bought an ABM600 again but am going to keep my RM500 EVO II, not letting it go.

I put a set of Elixir Nickels on my Jazz at the start of this year and they’re just starting to lose their zing on the E & A (the ones I use most) now.

I think you’ve hit it with the CMD121P, it nails all of your requirements. Additionally re the part about being able to put another cab underneath for live work, the Markbass NY121 is an exact fit and you then have a very portable modular set up that’s plenty loud.

That’s a good call, hadn’t thought of that but have now contacted them re my order (not yet had the fitting so hopefully can change colour). I’d gone for the clear ones but thinking about it the neon orange also look pretty difficult to lose so think I’ll go for those. Edit - I also went for the PRO 17s due to the description of them being the most natural sounding. All other ear plugs I’ve tried have really reduced top end. A couple of guys in my band have the 15s and they say they are pretty good but I wanted as flat/natural as possible, just quieter.

Certainly is, my Squier VM77 Jazz, although not as good as my US Fenders is a very good instrument. The quality of the cheaper instruments is amazing nowadays, in comparison to when I started out in the early 80s.

Mick Jagger Def the right voice for The Rolling Stones, but wouldn’t say he was that good a singer.

Vince Neil of Motley Crue. On recordings he was fine but live he seemed to only manage one word of about every three or four of the lyrics.

Mark of Booze & Glory’s Polish accent is quite strong on some of their songs.

Think Harley Bentons advertising for their Tele could have been a little less like self-pleasure: Twang King Go on, say it aloud, you`ll get there.

I used the DI on both of them for gigging, and on the ABM for recording, worked fine in all cases. The ABM has the option of pre or post EQ on the DI, the RM is post only.

Same with ours, notice put up on website/Facebook etc. I also think that - given now it has to be booked/paid online - they’ve messaged everyone who had bookings to advise of the closure.

Congrats, those Toneriders punch way above their weight, I found them to sound very similar to Fender Custom Shop 62s, but still a fraction of the cost.

Funnily enough I’m playing my Jazz more and more lately, so not too fussed about it not matching a a Precision exactly. I’m also considering the 435 as not really sure I need actives, though the better quality of the 735 is what’s leading the way at present.
