  1. Totally awesome track, bringing the bass to the forefront rather than an in the background supporting role.
  2. That is a really good point, often gear that sounds so-so at home levels or isolated sounds brilliant in the mix.
  3. That would be a good purchase, the RM range is great.
  4. I always make sure my hands are clean before playing my basses, I figure on this being the next best thing and easier to put into practice.
  5. From what I’ve read clarity and zing is indeed EBS territory.
  6. It will be difficult to beat the Fender Rumble for the requirements.
  7. Nice one Dave, def up for that once you have it back.
  8. Sounds like patience could be my virtue then.
  9. I’m still umming & ahing about the Spectradrive, they just don’t seem to come up used so looks like I’ll have to shell out for new.
  10. I liked my LMIII, however loved my LMT (tube). The tube didn’t do much, but it just gave the sound a sprinkling of “life”.
  11. Beautiful, have to repeat to myself constantly that I do not need this.
  12. Sounds like an ideal amp to take to gigs as a backup.
  13. Yes, def a Stewart Copeland type sound to them.
  14. I’ve also had very good customer service from Hipshot, def one of the good companies on the list.
  15. Adam & The Ants did the 2 drummer thing pretty well. Sigue Sigue Sputnik also had 2, tho not sure it would have been noticed by performance, maybe by cheekbones?
  16. It’s funny, I liked that but thought that the drums were a bit busy, although clearly very good.
  17. I’m not sure how soon pub type gigs will be back. Given the need for social distancing, that cuts down audience size. Given the amount of space that a band needs that further reduces space - so therefore capacity in the pub. The band will then want paying. All this is reducing the money coming in to the pub. Whereas if they space tables out throughout, in accordance with distancing regs, and everyone on the tables is having a meal & a few drinks, well that’s maximising the amount of money they can likely get. And at present they need it - and I don’t think they’ll need to be putting entertainment on to entice people in.
  18. Think it’s a good idea, after all Mark does know a thing or two about TE.
  19. So they can go straight from starting out to big venues - as they’re the only stages big enough?
  20. I had a Fender Kingman acoustic bass, and pretty much as others have said even up against a single acoustic guitar it was virtually inaudible. But, plugged into a small practice amp it made a great sound and really complimented said acoustic guitar.
  21. On a slightly different note, weren`t Sam & Raph meant to be getting married at Rebellion this year?
  22. I had them on a Precision for a while, plugged into my Ampeg of the time it was that classic sound.
  23. The band I’m in isn’t a gigging band, but we have been asked to play for a good mates 50th in March 2021, hopefully things will be ok by then - tho we’ll need a singer for the gig.
  24. Another great recording from The Alibi
