  1. Hopefully you’ll like it Steve, I kept mine & moved on my Tech21 BDDI v2. Both got me the sound I want so made sense to keep the Behringer.
  2. Yeah I like the sound of the Lytes but they’re just a bit too modern looking for me. Apparently Fender did a chambered US Professional Precision for Matt Freema of Rancid, that’s what I’d really like.
  3. Fender Precision Light range to be introduced, all to be under 8lbs.
  4. I’ve played a few gigs with just my bass into preamp/DI into PA, with monitor mix for the band. Works fine but I do prefer having the onstage sound from an amp behind me. Not tried IEM but fairly sure my preference will always be amp on stage.
  5. Yeah those Rotos are like solid pieces of metal draped along the fretboard, a real workout. Can sound great, though I’ve never managed it (think they need a valve amp to get them to shine).
  6. I’m hopeful it will be all of the stuff that I decide to sell once I no longer have any need for it. Not that I’m mercenary of course……
  7. Hi Dave, aside from a few minor differences (from what I’ve read) on the sound the main difference between the DI & non-DI version is the DI can be used as both an effects pedal between bass & amp, and DI’d to FOH. You can also use it to do this without an amp.
  8. Yeah I saw that (the first one) on Reverb, they have changed it as originally it was advertised as a US model, now it’s showing as having a US neck. I was going to message them as well but when I next checked it the change had been made.
  9. Next up is Iron Maiden in June but just got ticket for Volbeat in November, very excited.
  10. I love the sound of active basses, but only when someone else is playing them. I’m so used to a Precision type sound coming from basses I play that if I hear anything else it just sounds wrong, maybe that’s where you are as well Rob?
  11. The Behringer BDI21 may well be your friend then Steve, it’s pretty much 90/95% the same only a tenth of the price.
  12. I used to have a Ford Cougar, great car in a straight line but my American mate said to me, “it’s based on an American car, it’s not meant to around corners”.
  13. As above, made by Earlpilanz who can be found on EBay. I’ve put shielding tape on the back. The holes for the pickups were too small for one of my JMJs but not another, they’re easy enough to widen though. £25 inc postage in UK.
  14. Good track, like it
  15. That was a great gig Joe, awesome crowd all up for watching all the bands, really good atmosphere at that one. And there we have with your other half the non-bass players attitude to bass, non-existent 🤣
  16. I often watch this, Matt seems like a pretty decent guy and the content of these vids is pretty easy to follow rather than being too technical. Likewise I’m not really into Rancid that much, good band but I prefer Lars Frederiksens other bands, Old Firm Casuals and The Last Resort.
  17. I got it - in fact I have a tattoo of that (taken from the WW1 commemorative coin of 2018).
  18. I like that @Reggaebass, think I’ll get myself a copy of the album
  19. I was checking out Steel Pulse on YouTube yesterday, never knew anything by them before but what I heard I liked.
  20. It would if you push the volume (and possibly the low end) but I paired two RM210s with the RM500 head and never went past 11 o’clock on the volume for some pretty big stage gigs. When I used the set up just to match drum volume on pub gigs without FOH it didn’t go above 10 o’clock - for reference we were an Oi/Streetpunk band so not quiet. Watch your volume/input gain/low end and you should be fine.
  21. Given your liking of HB Stew I thought you were going to say you’d bought them all!
  22. Agree Pete, not sure I’d like to be a young person nowadays, I know it sounds old hat but it really was easier when I was younger.
