  1. The Rebellion Festival for us punkers is wisely held indoors, given that we’re all too old to be out in the elements for too long.
  2. She has a big audience and fan base so in that I’d say yes, deserving. Based on the rubbish - imo - that she doles out I’d say no. And yes, Danni, phwoar!
  3. For me she never topped Wuthering Heights.

    NBD!

Must have been a left handed photographer then......
  5. Love Roto steels but they die too quickly for me, I get a month/4 gigs max from them. Never had a bad set though, quality always been superb.
  6. Guns N Roses. Appetite, which was recorded before they were big was excellent whereas the Illusion albums, done when they were probably the biggest band in the world were alright but nothing special imo. I preferred The Spaghetti Incident to either of the Illusions.
  7. Our old producer said that Trevor Bolder (of Ziggy/Bowie fame) advised him on using lighter gauge strings as he could add more bass to them without them booming.
  8. Nice looking rig, Don, and get it sounds even better

    Ampeg SCR-Di

I had one for a while and it just nailed the SVT sound. From memory I engaged the Ultras and the Scrambler, with that set to break-up when strings hit hard. If looking for SVT tones it’s a good pedal, and am sure it can do more, I only let it go as it was quite big & heavy in comparison to Tech21 VT & Sansamp pedals which also do SVT tones very well.
  10. I had the Super Twins predecessor, the Super 12 and it was a doddle to cart about. Not particularly big, light enough to move easily. I think the Super Twin is smaller.
  11. Basses are fine, nothing wrong with the sound of the Ashdown combo, I’d just look at a more powerful one - the Ashdown RM combos def worth a look at if you like the Ashdown sound, or look for one of their MAG combos 2nd hand - you’ll pick one up within budget easily. That said, you can pick up an Ashdown 500 watt amp head and 410 cab used with a £600 budget.
  12. Most important for me are pretty simply, a Fender Precision strung with fresh steel roundwound strings and a Tech21 Para Driver. Yes the neck is important to me - I do like a chunker - as are efficient tuners and passive electrics but as long as I have said Precision, strings and Para Driver I’m sorted.
  13. Nice one Andy, the RMs from Ashdown are a real hidden (but slowly popping their head over the parapets) range. Much beefier than any other Class D amp I`ve had.
  14. Best, probably my white/maple US Precision, don`t think I`ve had a worst.
  15. Ashdown ABM600 EVO IV - there`s a chrome faced one up on evilbay at present for £400.
  16. I’m just having one - the XL - installed on a Precision to match another which already has one. I find that the tuning is smoother with the XL than with the stock Fender nut, no experience of the non-XL Graph Tech tho.
  17. Nice one, the RM range as a whole is great imo - I have the earlier edition RM500 and it`s a great amp, If I`m correct I think Ashdown were ceasing the RM800 as given the frightening amount of power available from the 500 there`s not much need for an 800. Still debating whether to get a newer RM500 for the lighter weight.
  18. Now Sold One Protection Racket Deluxe Utility Case in very good - make that virtually new - condition. Plenty of sections/compartments for small Class D amp heads/leads/pedals etc. Nice sheepskin type lining to keep it all padded and safe, and as per the pics, you can see how clean it all is. Great case, we all know how good Protection Racket gear is. £45 gets this to your door within the UK.
  19. NOW SOLD One set of Tonerider Precision Plus Pickups. These sound very similar to the Fender Custom Shop Pickups that came in the 2012 - 2016 US Standards. Still in original box, have plenty of wire on them, as shown in the pic. £25 to your door within the UK.
  20. Sorry for late response, no not looking at trades thanks
  21. This annoyingly seems to be happening ore and more recently.
  22. I think that`s it - I`ve had a good few of the Barefaced cabs and realised that whilst what they do they do brilliantly, I just prefer the more traditional coloured sounding cabs, rather than the transparency of the BF ones. It often seemed to me that although they could go super loud, fra more volume than I`d ever need in fact, that there was something that was just not there. I can`t describe it properly, other than to say put the same gear through an old Ampeg/Ashdown/Peavey 410 and what I want suddenly appears.
