  1. I think I’d ask what the circumstances were for him to get so annoyed, sometimes a sympathetic ear can disarm someone. I’d add into that re the gear issue acknowledging that anyone can get annoyed for whatever reasons, but that in all cases I would need my gear to be treated with respect.
  2. Def take it back, I had one of these amps around 2011-15 and never had any issues with it at all.
  3. That looks fantastic
  4. Sold Ampeg Scrambler Overdrive in very good condition, boxed, with instructions etc. Nice little overdrive pedals these, has Blend features you can keep your original clean signal to retain the punch in your sound. £60 inc delivery in UK
  5. A mate of mine used to work at Marshall, the problems with the MB range were apparently from the initial batches, they’d had production switched to overseas for costs, however from what I understand when they saw how they’d been assembled they literally had to redo them all as the job wasn’t as good as it should have been.
  6. Yep I had the MB450 which was actually a very nice sounding amp, but when I bought the DBS7400 it was a clearly superior beast.
  7. Even the most hardcore Clash fans I know can’t bring themselves to admit to liking all of Sandinista.
  8. Great Marshall collection @dudewheresmybass, those DBS amps are great
  9. Sold - Aguilar Tonehammer, boxed and in good condition. £215 inc delivery in UK

  10. I saw Crue last year, VN although not great by any means was a bit better than when I saw them in 2007 & 2011ish. I agree they should have stuck to the contract at least to not play live again.
  11. I’ve never seen them live but think that it’s a wise decision, it’s the singer that sells the band and it sounds like he is a bit more aware than some. And as said, he’s had a good innings.
  12. The Sweet played again? I remember my first Rebellion in 2015, The Sweet were the last band on in The Empress on the Sunday. They were excellent. And for some reason there were a lot of punks & skins line-dancing to them.
  13. That’s one cool barn!
  14. Yep I think the 90s brought about less drinking when performing, possibly due to more diligence on drinking & driving by the police. What was pretty much the norm in the 80s became frowned upon, def a good move imo. Safer roads, better performances from bands, what’s not to like.
  15. It’s funny that although I’m forever asking people to repeat themselves but louder so I can hear them in general whenever I go anywhere where there’s a TV radio on its far too loud for me. Also inevitable is that although if I’m in a restaurant the people I’m speaking to mumble like secret agents in the Cold War passing state secrets I can understand everything people on tables 20 feet away are saying.
  16. Looks an amazing place to play
  17. Yeah doing fine thanks, will have to make my way to one of your gigs soon, not seen you all for ages now.
  18. As above Mick, I can’t see any issues in simply putting the truth to text
  19. Im not there Joey, but have to extol the virtues of one of the best bands around. Hope alls well with you & the chaps.
  20. Saturday will be good, Knock Off in the Club Kasbah followed by Gimp Fist in the Empress, a street-punk overload.
  21. SV are great, featuring our very own @joeystrange of course
  22. That’s good to know @Happy Jack, as I’m getting over a bad bout of the curvid I’m going to travel light to my next gig and use my Warwick Gnome. Likewise there’s full house PA & monitors so it will be for stage volume only.
  23. Glad to hear of the progress Jack, tho shame about the walk
  24. I’ve put two as have gone for full set ups, my amp & cabbage is: Fender Rumble 800 Combo Ashdown RM500 head Warwick Gnome 280 head Ashdown PRO NEO 210 x 2 The Ashdowns are up for sale though, once gone will look for a Barefaced 210. Edit - having thought about this I’ve decided to keep hold of the Ashdowns for now
  25. You’re very fortunate, given the state of my back 30lbs is now my limit.
