  1. Good call, I had one of these and it’s a decent gig bag, I bought it as the shoulder straps can be hidden away too, I never use them.
  2. When we recorded recently - bass & drums were recorded live - we played to a click, worked fine but then our drummer is decent, had no problems when we added or subtracted beats per minute to establish the best timing for the song.
  3. Darn, there goes another £239 (or at least it will when I get home lol) Whilst I liked the OriginAL pedal the amount of drive on it was pretty much unusable, hopefully with the Drive Level this will enable much better control.
  4. I can`t recall where it was that I read it but someone commented on the on-board compressor on an EBS amp saying it could actually be used unlike that on many other amps - may have been a YouTube clip thinking about it.
  5. Sadly my 13kg ABM600, although it was def a one-handed carry, was far too much for my worsening back so I had to move it on, my 3kg RM500 being more suitable for my needs nowadays. But I loved the ABM600, def the best amp I think I`ve ever had (I did love my Marshall DBS7400 as well) and agree with your findings @NeonMig, they just effortlessly fill the stage but also don`t over-power anything, they just fit into the right sonic space, glad you`re please with your new amp.
  6. Problem with most counterfeit detecting gear available on the market is that the counterfeiters buy them then look to find ways to defeat them - certain sun-tan lotions and hair-conditioners if applied to the notes rendered pens & UV detectors useless. In the old days the biggest giveaway was the paper quality but of course now we`ve gone polymer that`s history. One of the main things that happens is the serial numbers are duplicated so a quick scan through a wad of notes should pick that up easily enough.
  7. The more I read about the Warwick Gnome and @stevies cabs the more I`m thinking these might be ideal for me.
  8. There’s no accounting for taste is there, I can’t imagine why anyone would take out the stock pickups from the MF Sig, those basses are just about perfect as they are.
  9. That is a Paddington Stare of the highest quality!
  10. My fave Fender 2015 US Precision has had a Hipshot Xtender and a Fender Stealth Retainer put on it. Neither required any drilling etc so bass can be put back to original status with no signs of the changes having been made.
  11. From the limited amount I’ve heard from Gasoline & Matches I quite like them so will have to check out the Katy Hurt material if of similar genre?
  12. Did you look at the instruction manual? Reddit, Reddit
  13. Def @Happy Jack, in my last band the most ridiculous weekend we did was: Gateshead Friday night Glasgow Saturday lunchtime Blackpool Saturday evening Yes we were an originals band not covers but still a bit of a feat for guys in their 50s.
  14. I had a Nemesis 410 @Rich, was a great cab, def one of those that I should have kept hold of. Wasn`t expensive either.
  15. Yup, looking at me now prob seems unbelievable that I had both the far-left and far-right haircuts on that pic. Them`s were the days..............
  16. All of them will work fine, having had the CMD121P (I also had the NY121 ext cab) it’s plenty for a regular size venue though I think I would lean more to the CMD102 or the CMD151 as having a 2x10 or 1x15 is greater surface area so in theory more sound.
  17. I suppose due to the size of the UK in comparison to the USA it’s easier for us to make the effort to travel to the gigging areas then return home afterwards. Having always lived in an area where there are both local gigs and London only 30/45 mins away I’m rather fortunate on this subject.
  18. Up until this year, aside from when I bought a Gibson Les Paul Bass, pretty much every bass I’ve bought that wasn’t a Fender Precision, after the initial buzz had worn off I realised it wasn’t really for me. Given this I fully expected the same when I bought my Fender JMJ Mustang Bass but no, I really love these basses as well. Which is great as my back can’t deal with full size/weight basses anymore, so I might well have been on another lengthy journey.
  19. In both my current band and the last band none of us are/were keen on too much volume from the instruments in the monitors, preferring vocals to be in them. A bit of lead guitar, a bit of kick drum, a bit of bass but other than that leave the rest out. I suppose this is mostly due to lack of decent amount of time sound-checking as a properly prepared monitor mix is wonderful. When my old band supported Chelsea (the band not the football club) their singer Gene October is shall we diplomatically say a bit difficult and a bit exacting. Which ended up in simply the best on-stage sound I`ve ever had, we didn`t change anything for our requirements, no need, he`d done it all for us.
  20. There’s a thread on here where some Basschatters did a shootout between those, seems that there are differences from recall
  21. Great review, is this the v1 or v2 version? Edit - just reread and saw the switchable clean comment so v2.
