  1. That`s a darn fine rig, bet it sounds immense
  2. Well the name isn’t a clue, not mods and not from Sleaford.
  3. Got to be the psychedelic given the band name, I’d keep the rest of the bass standard tho.
  4. Definitely, in my last band to have consistency in sound I used a Sansamp with my ABM600 (or whatever other rig I was playing through) all the time, it was only in my current classic rock band that I really used the ABM600 on its own and was knocked out by how good it is. Sadly I’ve had to move mine on now but it will I’m sure forever be my favourite amp. I just wish Ashdown would do an ABM preamp-pedal/DI.
  5. Moving Pictures, a Rush tribute, in The Craufurd Arms, Milton Keynes. I’m not that familiar with Rush’s material but what a night, they were incredible and from what I’ve seen online I’d have been hard pushed to tell one band from the other by sound alone, amazing musicianship. Big thumbs up to The Craufurd as well, they’ve really grown the venue over the last 10 or so years, get some very good bands there now.
  6. I’m pretty much the same, if the criteria to see bands was leaping about and waving arms in the air then I’d be barred from every venue in the country.
  7. In my last band we - well the lead singer - had an amazing amount of contacts established as much through chatting to people at other bands gigs as chatting to them after our gigs. We were easy to work with, professional in approach and never let anyone down so the contact list grew favourably as a result. If we’d been the same band but prima donnas, always late & cancelling would we have done so much, I doubt it.
  8. Thing is (up until this) she might have got home, to work etc and told people that she had the best night ever and that the band were amazing. Just because people aren’t jumping about and waving their arms in the air doesn’t mean they’re not enjoying the show. It’s not the audiences responsibility to perform for the artists.
  9. I’m thinking of one of those bass cases with wheels at the moment Chris, as at present it’s literally just a case that I take - as you say if it can be wheeled rather than carried.
  10. At the moment carrying one bass is a task in itself so I’ve it is but as soon as I’m ok to take two two it will be. The only time I’ve ever needed a backup was the time I didn’t take one, and no it wasn’t strung breakage but an iffy jack socket that was working fine before I put the bass in the case for the gig.
  11. Sadly with the way things are going good old fashioned cash on collection is often the safest way.
  12. Always used to be two, one to use, one as backup. Last few gigs I’ve only taken one. I really should get back to two but back dictates carrying minimal amounts of gear now.
  13. One of the best cabs on the market, sound just works so well in the mix and the dispersion is amazing, bargain price too!
  14. Please welcome this humble band that is always appreciative of its audience, Royal Blood.
  15. That faint whine seems to be a thing with Ampeg pedals as it happens with my SCR-DI if using the same PSU for two pedals, seems unless they’re getting all of the power they whine about it.
  16. Assuming it`s Royal Mail that`s handling it does the companies blurb say Guaranteed Next Day Delivery or is what they charge for First Class post, which has an aim for the next working day but if it doesn`t fulfill that aim, well it just failed. Whichever way it`s the sellers responsibility of course but it does depend upon what service they`ve advertised on re delivery - re Guaranteed Delivery in the case of an item not being delivered the next working day they can claim to Royal Mail, re First Class they can`t.
  17. Not helping, really not helping!!! I think I’m just going to have to order one aren’t I?
  18. I’d reckon so, I’ve found that Precisions/Markbass/Barefaced all work well with each other.
