Given many audiences they`ll probably not even notice. I`ve played along to clicks when recording and find it does tend to reign in my natural tendency to hit harder/faster in certain parts of the songs.

Songs that you hated... but grew to love?
Lozz196 replied to EBS_freak's topic in General Discussion
Pretty much anything from the charts in the early 80s, hated it all back then, love it now, Duran/Wham/Ballet/Mode etc. -
Yep, I have 2 JMJ Mustangs, one for home use one for rehearsals & gigs. I couldn’t use one type of bass for home use and a different type for my bands as that wouldn’t work for me. Ideally I’d just use one for everything and keep the other solely as backup but I’m too lazy to keep putting a bass in/taking a bass out of its case so I use both.

Looking at this, think it will do it https://www.stewmac.com/luthier-tools-and-supplies/types-of-tools/wrenches/truss-rod-crank-for-tele/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=2023-06-gp&pref_currency=GBP&shipcalc=UK&gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwj_ajBhCqARIsAA37s0xRKkw8YSlzF4Nz4-hqFluZZpfX0Yvy8mPC343aBfSiehloyPX8G0kaAnHYEALw_wcB -
The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!
Lozz196 replied to Baloney Balderdash's topic in Bass Guitars
I just used a regular flat-blade screwdriver (which worked fine) but I do think having the right tools are the best way, can you point in the right direction @fretmeister? -
I remember the first time I saw them, lead singer/guitarist did a solo and whilst doing so walked to the bar & got himself a pint, got back to the stage, took a swig then tipped the rest over his head!

Very envious Steve, Airbourne are great, haven’t seen them in a while, think I’ll have to change that.

Nice one Dave, great that the Mustang is the solution
-
Yes I’ve used them for years, with pretty high tension (Rotosound & Warwick) steel rounds with no problems.
-
I’d say let’s wait so we get the whole package, so to speak

Well, somebody's getting a bit up themselves... (Royal Blood content)

And probably very irritating that it goes on much longer than expected- 100 replies

I’ve put them on all my US Fenders, really help that sometimes pesky A string rattle. I also put it on the low B on a 5 string Precision and it tightened both the string and sound as a result. As it happens @lidl e I still have one up for sale at £15 inc postage in UK, message me if interested.

Yup, this eve at rehearsal I used a Hiwatt amp into a Peavey 410, couldn’t get any kind of sound I liked but it just sounded excellent in the mix. There’s no way I could put up with that sound at home though.

76 to 86, covers punk, new wave, the early 80s pop which I hated at the time but love now, and early glam/hair-metal. Edit - how did I forget to add 2-Tone into this?
-
Me neither, especially combined with the at times over enthusiastic audiences landing all over the stage.

Saw a mates band there in that really hot summer of 2003, it was like a sauna in there.

Plus they sound good.

Sounds like an idea, use the ABM & 212 for smaller gigs, TH & both cabs for bigger gigs.

I keep thinking about one of these, I really like the SCR-DI so if this sounds better….
