  1. Just watched this, incredibly interesting, thanks for the tip @jezzaboy
  2. Yup, I found Ashdown totally by chance. Doing gigs with provided backlines which were more often than not SVT/810 at one I was presented with an Ashdown ABM/215. Thought it was magnificent.
  3. Just makes me grateful for the ease of transactions on here
  4. Even better! Full marks to the store for letting you know about the case.
  5. Yeah amazingly good condition for an instrument of that age
  6. I’d never even heard of these til this thread, just looked them up, certainly different - and def best in yellow.
  7. Chilldafunk
  8. That’s great, nice catch
  9. Looks really good with the BF210 as well.
  10. Hopefully better than originally expected, good news Jack
  11. That is stunning
  12. Yup, a packet of biscuits at Ashdown HQ is almost like one of those entry swipe cards, impossible to get in without one.
  13. Sad that such decent, well built, and no doubt great playing & sounding instruments may well end up that way.
  14. If they feel coated could be Elixirs, they use brass ends for their nickel rounds.
  15. That really was very careless
  16. I suppose having had both I found the 2 to be thicker & more powerful, the 3 to be more precise.
  17. That’s interesting Martin, given how you’ve described your sound previously I’d have thought it would have been the 2-eq ‘Ray that would have fitted you more.
  18. Coincidence that this comes out around the same time as the auction of his other gear?
  19. Congrats, ideal cab for a P-bass with flats methinks.
  20. I’ve already got mine, Fender US Standard Precision 2015. Any other bass I play, no matter how great, it never feels as good as that one does.
  21. I’ve found that I “kill” EB strings very quickly, which is incredibly annoying as I find them great to play. But I’ve read others saying they last them ages so maybe it’s a body chemistry thing.
  22. I remember reading in Sami Yaffas (of Hanoi Rocks) book where when they went to India they were expected to play for 6 hours.
