    I want to hear bands do the songs like the recording, I don’t mind live adjustments but when songs go on forever, well that’s my cue for the khazi.

    I often watch the Andertons “Sound Like” vids on YouTube. They do a without busting the bank and a by busting the bank. Sometimes they’ve done both on the same band, and in every case the without busting the bank sound treblier and thinner in comparison. So maybe the more expensive gear is worth it. That said, having watched Rig Rundowns on YouTube many of the bands seem to have Gibson & Fender Standards as their main axes as oppose to Custom Shop stuff and they seem to sound ok.

    Not saying this just because I’m selling one on here (I have two), but I use the SubZero Guitar Bug system (from Gear4Music). Works really well, no latency I can detect, black bug for instrument & white bug for amp which I find very helpful, plus runs on 5.4 so no interference from taxis/ambulances/pizza deliveries etc.

    Same here. I only use it at home though, I find it really helps when learning new material as it makes my playing more precise.

    The New Adelphi was the scene of my first “proper” gig. Great venue, would be nice to play there again some day. Used to frequent Hull quite regularly in the late 80s.

    Just got in from a gig with the punk covers band that I play guitar for. Was good tho sparsely populated, but those in the pub enjoyed it. Had the inevitable continual request for something we don’t do, Arctic Monkeys this time, which then changed to Irish music. Ah yes we can help there, and proceeded to play Suspect Device by Stiff Little Fingers. Said requester not happy, you just can’t please some people!

    Well I’ve an Epiphone Acoustic Guitar (copy of the big Gibson one) that fits on the end so should be fine.

    I had one and aside from one incident where the valve got a little dislodged (so I used the SS side for that gig) it was a great amp.
