1.
I've never played one but I've seen some very positive reports about the Vintage basses.
I got mine for £30 s/h. I like it.

TC Toneprint

IIRC with my flashback, I just left everything plugged in (power, usb, and both jack leads) and was able to load different toneprints while playing.... there weren't any horrors resulting from staying plugged in...

TC Toneprint

Tried both with the phone and over USB?

TC Toneprint

Did you have it set to the toneprint mode?
5. Don't know about the sound quality but I had an AX1000G for guitar - those korg units are very easy to use.
6.
Is the Darkglass B3K THAT good?
There's nothing magic about it, but if the sound it does is the one you want I'm not aware of a sensible alternative. you may have read http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/de-b3k-what-do-862841/ ...

Mini Polytune
So I'm the only one completely put off by the fact that it doesn't do the poly tuning mode for bass? The poly mode is the only reason I bought the full-size one, and I was doing to swap it out for the smaller one until I realised it would be a downgrade, in reality.
What? how crap is that?
8. "Obvious but true" problem with dedicated effects is that by their nature each one covers only a narrow range so any given one is unlikely to hit the spot. Why not a multifex? Zoom B3 is about £100 (rounded to the nearest £100 ) a couple of fairly flexible general-purpose distortion pedals are the Hartke bass attack (not very cool though) and the Tech 21 VT bass (100 ish s/h)
9. I do actually have a sparkly gold mask for some reason - I'm claiming it's my sister's but when that sparkly gold bass came up for sale a while back I did briefly imagine the possibilities.... mine was VGC but velcro'd... but I didn't have the proper box. Pretty excited that yours has - I'm yet to work out a pedalboard arrangement so keep pedals in a big 'lucky dip' box that I rummage in before band nights - boxes are very necessary to keep them safe while rummaging.
10. True but there's the £3.82 that it cost me to post it.... I can still afford this: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3a6be8c124 or this: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19c952958e More to the point, this was listed just exactly - exactly as I was wishing I hadn't sold mine... life is good!
11.
Makes me want to sell mine and buy this, I'll make some cash
That's basically what I've done here - I sold one recently and realised I was a bit hasty! I think I'll have made £1.18p.
12. £75? Has no-one bought these yet? What's wrong with you all?

Took two pedals off off my hands - love being able to use those bigger boxes! Smooth payment and confirmation of landing. Great guy to deal with, many thanks!
14. Another good deal with Shaun, BB Pre delivered in the blink of an eye. Many thanks! And how come you still haven't finished that pint yet?
15. Bought a VT Bass pedal from George - not only a great deal, but meticulously packed and sent next day. We had a good chat too. 100% Big up!
16.
I can build you up a little volume box with either just one pot or two pots and footswitch to change between them if you fancy for just over cost price. Drop me a PM if you want me to work out how much it'll be for you
Why thank you As I have the LS2 coming I'll use it to see if setting up my chain that way is a goer and I may well get back to you!
17.
LS-2 = highly useful but rather expensive £85 sledgehammer to crack a nut. Small enclosure plus 100k pot and 2 jacks = £7.00
You're right but a lot of the time the devil's in the detail.... perfect bits would be a lot easier to get if we were in the good ol' us of a (like the enclosure mentioned, i think?) and then there's actually finding the space to set up the soldering iron where I won't set fire to things, the fact it doesn't work very well and also I don't have a drill that can make holes in enclosures, and blah blah blah... The LS2 was only a £40 sledgehammmer S/H and can be moved on once I'm sure I want my chain to work in this way. I'll probably ask someone to make me a vol pot (though I expect to pay more than £7...)
18.
you could use an LS-2 for that I think
Since starting this thread I bought one! Still like the idea of having a dedicated volume so I will probably go down the route badgerific suggested at some point but we'll see how the LS2 handles things for now!
19. It's looking like that's the way to go. Apparently if it's post FX it should be a < 100K pot? I'm now thinking big and wondering if I could get someone to make one with a digital pot and 2 momentary switches so all I have to do is stomp to change volume...
20. Anyone ever had the need to use a simple volume control at the end of the FX chain (to save walking to the amp, mixer, etc)? Something not as massive as a volume pedal... small is good....
21. Smooth deal on a TC delay lay lay Great stuff, many thanks!
