  1. HI

Ive owned this for a few months but cant seem to drag my self away enough from the Statii that i own to justify its existence in my collection.
It was fully serviced at the John Diggin's factory in Birmingham in November whereupon it received a fret dress, a new set of Elites (.30 gauge natch!) and all the pots were changed (the bass after all was 25 years old....)and the neck adjusted for maximum low action!

Its an absolutely beautiful bass ( i think the pictures display that) and i am looking to get back what it cost me and some of the service cost so i'm looking for

    SOLD

Tradewise i'm open to sensible offers . so if it grabs your fancy give us a try! (looking for a Gibson Les Paul Six String Guitar at the moment that'd be nice..)

Payment by Cash on Collection or Bank Transfer( i have feed back on this forum so look me up) not PayPal im afraid as the charges are Exorbitant!

If you wanna try it out feel free to pop in for a bass fondle and a cup of coffee. The bass is in Chiswick in West London.

It comes with a Five Star Aluminum framed Flight case so i can ship but it wont be cheap but boy will it be protected!

Oh yeah i suppose i better put up some eye candy for folks.........

    NOW ON EBAY

  2. I think the deal we did involved 3 basses in an exchange scenario. I think I called it SB 900/elite because it was post Matsumoko and couldn't definitively ascertain which it was. I'm happy to be updated. It certainly seemed a different bass to my early 80's SB900 ( another passive twin pickuped SB) I owned in the late 80's, which was more like my current SB1000. I think the neck dimensions are different to my SB1000 (which enjoys almost Fender Jazz dimensions in an oddly non tapering way)and certainly the volume controls on the 900/ elite bass aren't recessed like the early 80's Matsumoko products. It's also lighter than my Oak coloured SB1000, but these are NOTORIOUSly ( sorry couldn't resist) heavy. Hope this provides some clarity. I certainly didn't intend to misrepresent the bass.

I can't believe the MIM ones are £900 new! That's ridiculous!! That said, this is a great price compared to the new price!! Not sure how these MIM ones compare with the MIJ but the MIJ are stunning so I reckon these must be pretty special too!

Get used to it. i just bought a Nate Mendel R/W Mexican that was £700 and every bit as good as any other R/W ive ever played....Yankee or otherwise. The quailty is finally getting there on the good ones.
