  1. Hi everyone

I bought this from the lovely PaulS recently on this site.

I just cant get on with the slenderness of the neck (think Jazz then shave off another 1 mm)

I took it to my tech who did a tweak of the neck (personal taste nothing wrong with the neck)  and popped on some new Rotosound 40/60/80/100 strings on it so it's sounding glorious  has that precision growl aplenty. Comes with a soft gig bag.

Its basically a bargain for a US built bass. Alternatively looking for a trade of a  P type bass or similar (hit me up if you have an alternative....but not an Affinity level bass though shes worth a bit more than that..)

It's got bumps and marks and the paintwork is not pristine but gives the throaty roar of a pbass for those who like a slender neck.

Even has their take on the "micro tilt "neck adjustment of 70's Fender but with 4 bolts not 3.

    8lbs/3.6kg

    37mm at the nut

    19mm spacing at the bridge

Thanks for looking any questions fire away

Will post at buyers expense but equally available to meet up between London and Norfolk

Thanks to PaulS for the use of his original photos as my phone has a rubbish camera

Unfortunately have to sell to buy.

Your bass will probably be well gone by the time I sell mine

Incidentally, who do you use for insurance when you post ?

Usually i just pack the absolute hell out of it and get the buyer to sort any additional insurance above and beyond what the courier provides. I try to circumvent the need for it by bubble wrap and gig bag and double box( or hardcase) ive only had one issue in 11 years ago and ever since then ive just packed everything within an inch of its life. its served me well till now. but i understand things can happen.

Unfortunately I can tell you on Saturday as I’ll be home then but it’s not light ….its definitely not Aria SB but also not less than 4.5 kg. I’ll try to get my wife to weigh it using the body plus minus the bass technique to get a quicker idea….

    4.4 KG or 9.68 LB

  4. Bought recently to scratch a 5 string itch i had then ended up continuing playing with my 4 string Cort A4!

Lovely bass recently had setup with brand new Super Slinky Ernie Balls on it.

Comes with Chase Hard case. I hope the former sellers dont mind me using their photos as they do far better justice than i could!

Any queries fire away. Im bringing it to London for the next week as i work there and will be better able to offer a meet up / dispatch.

Finished in solid black with BWB 3 ply pickguard (you can see the grain through the paint)

    Swamp ash body

Bird's eye maple neck and fingerboard with carbon rods in a matte finish

    Luminlay side dots

    Headstock with simple M logo

Hipshot B style bridge with 17mm spacing

34" scale and 45mm at the nut

    Hipshot HB6C 1/2" tuners

Passive electrics with usual P bass volume and tone

Also, sorry to be pedantic, how deep is the hole on the neck Please? Am guessing this looks like is on the underside around 15th ish fret and probably be remedied with some skilful epoxy repair - thanks

No problem Steve. It’s a superficial bash so it’s more of a cracking of the surface than a hole. I certainly don’t notice it when I play which is why I never got it repaired. It hasn’t gotten any worse in the past 10 years that I’ve owned it( it was like that when I purchased it ) But I’m sure a little bit of epoxy would sort it out. See the pic for spacing info. I think it’s 17/18 mm. it’s a £1 tape measure from wilko so allow for that!

I came from playing a Precision bass and had no problem adapting

  6. Back again after sale fell through…..

Sad to see this go after so many years. I just don’t play it enough to warrant keeping such a lovely beast in captivity.

There is a small chunk at the top of the neck ( pictured) and a small bash on the neck ( pictured) along with a couple of marks on the lower body ( pictured)  but in the main in fabulous condition for a 25 year old instrument. Electrically no issues comes with the standard Status monogrammed Hiscox  case. Sounds thunderous but alas not my instrument of choice any more. Any queries don’t hesitate to shoot me a message. Available for collection in London weekdays and some weekends of at my home in Kings Lynn most weekends. I will courier but really at this level you don’t wanna be chancing such a beauty to the postman!

Cash is king but will consider interesting part ex ( USA /Japanese Precision or similar is Favourite) up to half the value.
