1. If it's not gone by my next pay day (15/10) I'll take it off your hands.
 2.
Leech was a cabinet manufacturer based in Salford. They made wooden cabinets under contract for a lot of the companies in the music business. They may have started up in the 1970s but, sadly, went into liquidation in the 1990s. They sold a range of amps under their own brand for a period in the 1980s but these weren't particularly successful. That's probably no reflection on the product and more to do with their marketing. One of their early employees was Joe Olenski, who left and started Ohm.
Thats brilliant, thanks for the info. All things considered, I cant believe that it's in such good nick for a 20+ year old amp and speaker!
 3.
Leech were around in the early 80s, made near Manchester, so I recall. That's definitely a guitar amp.
excellent, cheers for the info....now, anyone want a guitar amp?!
 4.
I suspect that with its having a bright channel, echo, sustain & distortion it's intended for that skinny 6 stringed thing to be played through it. However, hook it up to a decent bass speaker & try it out with bass - the proof of the pudding etc..... G.
I might just do that.... sounds awesome as it is with my jtkb 300 tho.
 5. Hey folks, A while back a friend of a friend who was a fellow bassist decided to emigrate and passed on his bass amp and speaker to me. The head is a Leech G-120 and the speaker looks like it matches. I didn't have too much of a conversation with him about it, was just happy to get one for free. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about Leech? Google doesn't have much to say on the matter. Also, this may sound a bit obvious, but does anyone actually know whether it's a guitar amp or a bass amp....just with it being branded a guitar g-120 and all. 6. I'd have to agree, the tag 'experimental rock' puts me off a bit but that might just be me. I'm looking for a band at the moment (in Manchester though, sorry) and the main things for me are a clear advert with details of what kind of bass player you're looking for, link to some songs if available and a telephone number to call, email addresses seem to put me off as I've replied to loads only to never recieve a reply. Good luck with it, hope you find someone soon!
 7. Nice bass, effectivly 24 basses for the price of one. If I had a spare few quid or a spare bass I'd bite your hand off. Maybe I should sell a kidney.
 8.
Glurk! The second time in a day I've made this mistake, sorry! I gotta have a word with meself!
forgiven, haha!
 9.
May I bring this thread to the honourable gentleman's attention? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=88450
Brilliant stuff! thanks. I'll try a 13amp fused cable when I get in. p.s- honourable gentlewoman as opposed to gentleman!
 10. Hello, I got given a nice leech bass head (I think it's a GL-20 model but I'm at work at the moment so will check when I get in) and a matching speaker cab. I've used it for about 6 or 7 gigs then all of a sudden, mid gig, it stopped working. The power light wouldnt come on and there was no tell-tell hiss as if it had any life at all. I changed both fuses (the kettle lead and the fuse in the head which were both 5amp) and it started working again. Last night I was practicing on it and the same thing happened, the power light went off and no sound. I checked the amp fuse and it was visably fried. Any ideas on why this keeps happening? I'm getting nervous now as I don't want to replace the fuses and it go mid-gig again. Thanks Gem
 11.
MIM Jazz?
hey sorry for the delay, not been online in a couple of days. Thnks for the offer but i got a good swap at my local geetar shop on it for an Ibanez jet King, tasty.
 12. I'm retracting my original idea to only trade this for a short scale or semi acoustic, if you have anything you want to trade for it, let me know! I can send pictures if needed.
 13. Dean Stylist? I'm in the NW too.
 14.
anyone fancy swapping basses. Mint condition Epi EB-1. Now before anyone says 'it would help to know what you want' well i shall get in there first,,,,,,,I dont know!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make the offer and I will see if im interested, pretty simple really. Cheers
I've got a Dean Stylist that I'm looking to swap, it's too chunky for me but I do love it. I'm after something a bit smaller.
 15.
But you're not looking to do an outright sale?
No dont think so, think I'd get a better deal on a trade.
 16.
How would you describe the neck on it? I have an Epi Viola but wouldn't mind something a bit chunkier
Its quite chunky, 2" across the fingerboard at it's widest. Nice action on it, the body is 3" thick.
 17. NOW SOLD Hey, So I bought this stylist a few months back after searching around for a while, I absolutely love it except its far too big for me! Its been used for a couple of gigs and a rehearsal or two but is in great condition. I'm looking for a swap/trade on a slimline semi or hollow bass, or, if you have a short scale bass for trade, let me know! Gem P.S- the hardware on it looks gold in the picture, something to do with the flash, it's actually silver.
