  1. That's a fantastic bass for the money. Sadly I'm skint so can't help. My own cheap Yamaha BB604 punches well above its weight, so if that's anything to go by this should be lovely.
  2. I took this recently as part of a trade but I don't need it. its a Fender Deluxe gig bag for strats, telecasters and other solid body guitars (fits my SG too). In good slightly used condition. Well padded with about 20mm of padding, two zip pockets, and two detachable shoulder straps on the back. Usual sort of thing really and all works as it should. Looking for £20. Located in Leicester but can post. SOLD
  3. Ginger Wildheart in Leicester in March. I don't get out much...
  4. Two great ones that spring to mind. Depping on bass for a cool blues guitarist/singer called Aynsley Lister at the Suwalki Blues Festival, in Poland, in 2016 - big stage in a park, awesome onstage sound, probably 1,500 to 2,000 people turned out to watch us, and we got treated like royalty all weekend by the promoters, which was amazing ha ha! Also remember doing a lovely wedding gig at a farm in Mid Wales with my band in summer 2015 - a sort of marquee made from interconnected teepees in a field, with cocktail bar etc in it, which was all lit up and night and had a real little festival atmosphere on a hot summer night. I was on lead guitar and vocals, and everyone was right up for it as the climax of the day's celebrations. The energy was incredible, as was the hog roast and real ale on tap, and the band played brilliantly. Remember utterly buzzing listening to Tom Petty on the long night drive home back to the East Midlands afterwards.
  5. I'm mainly gigging solo at the moment, so I try to add in between 4-6 new songs every set (though don't always succeed!) But I also make sure i mix up the order of the remaining ones too, so i'm not always using the same opening song etc. One of the bands I was in seemed to play the same set for years and it bored me silly. I imagine punters felt the same!
  6. Sounds like a good price. I had a E Series 57 reissue strat a long time ago and it was a great guitar.
  7. Basses: Sunburst 1970 P bass, red Yamaha BB604 or gold Epi Jack Casady (an older Peerless-made Korean one) Strings - La Bellas (P) TI flats (Epi) and currently D'Addario NYXLs on the Yamaha. Amps - Markbass LM3 running either a Schroeder 1210 or an Aguilar GS410. Pedals - just a Korg Pitchblack tuner and a pair of leads. Sennheiser or Shure SM58 mics, and a pair of Earpeace rubber earplugs. Good to go!
  8. Can I just say I think your butterfly wallpaper is awesome too!
  9. Withdrawn! My bad - it just occurred to me the strap pin parts of this are still attached to my guitar, so not much use without them. My apologies. I'll wake up properly in a minute....
  10. Set of Dunlop straplocks Only used for s short period and then put back in box. After £10 posted in UK.
  11. Hello, Continuing my new year parts drawer clear out, I've got a bass Comfort Strapp in extra long. That's 42 inch to 54 inch, or 106cm to 137cm. Its the usual Comfort Strapp design, with a thick padded neoprene main section to help disperse the weight of heavy basses and make them more comfortable on the back and shoulders. Its been barely used but I did fit it with Dunlop strap locks, which have left their circular imprint on the leather around the strap holes. Otherwise in near perfect condition, from a pet and smoke free home. Looking for £20 posted in the UK.
  12. Happy owner of a Yamaha BB604 from this very forum. Bought it winter 2016 as a back up bass but it's turned into a regular gigging bass as it's so good. I keep toying with the idea of giving a crazy art makeover but haven't settled on a suitably cool design yet. Here it is alongside my Jack Casady.
  13. I think the white one looks amazing - I prefer it to the black to be honest. Looks very Gretschy - the cream and white together work well for me. Kind of attention grabbing without being flashy. All good.
  14. I have only one these days. A 1969-70 P bass.
  15. I had an old Ashdown Mag300 head, and a GK backline 1x15 cab, the speaker of which had been swapped for an Eminence driver. It sounded huge and was really portable too - did loads of gigs with that. Good shout on the old Peavey TNT too - i had a TNT130 for a long time and thrashed it, but it always sounded good.
  16. Holiday for sure, probably in a villa on a Greek Island. Would do more good for my rain-soaked, wind-beaten British winter soul than just another bass.
  17. Yep, i can't stand Oasis (their songs or the band) but fair play to them, they are probably the last genuine working class band to have made it from the bottom up.
  18. I first tried flats on a cheap old SGC Nanyo fretless, and they were Rotosound Monels, which i didn't like at all (too stiff for me, and a bit toneless). But, I've got TIs on my Epiphone Jack Casady, and La Bella 760FLs on my Fender P bass, which are both lovely. Enough string tension without having to fight them, and really good, refined tone. I doubt i'd swap them back to rounds. I have a Yamaha with nickel rounds for when I need that sort of sound.
