I bought four individual par lights from Amazon for about £25 each. Our pa tops have bolt holes in the top for ceiling mounts so I use bolts to attach the lights to the top of the speakers and point them down at the band. Attached a 4 gang to the back of each speaker with sticky velcro to take all the plugs. Two on slow fade between colours and two on a faster setting, set and forget. Tried them on the floor but got fed up with being blinded every time I looked down.

Absolute belter. Small pub in Horwich with an amazing crowd who sang and danced all night. We've shifted the set to be more 80s pop and it seems to be working. During Dead Ringer For Love we had to move back to make room for all the dancers. Mix was just right, I used my handbox through 2 barefaced compacts and the contour setting is doing a treat at taming the natural mid boost that my playing g style seems to produce. I was sat much better in the overall sound last night. After a really quiet one last month it's gigs like this that remind me how easy it is to play when the people there are into it, you really feed off the energy.

Holy hell that's gorgeous. Is it black or dark blue?

And another for the Maruszcyzk here. Got mine from the sale boards here and it is superbly put together. It's a Jake P/j with Delanos and a chambered body so is brilliantly light too, I'm a happy bunny.

So, M6 pro vs UE900. Of course YMMV. Running through an LD MEI1000, I'm probably not getting the best out of either as we don't run everything through the desk. I have my vox, a bit of bass and the kick through them. I'm using them both as out of the box in ears, no custom moulds. Sound quality - UE900 wins. Much more detailed on listening to music on my phone, computer etc. Not as noticeable in a gig situation. Are they £140 better? I don't think so. Fit - M6 pro for me. Smaller earpiece stays put better. The UE are bigger and heavier. I've tried different tips but they still wiggle loose more easily when playing. So I'm still undecided, I'll probably persist with the UEs and experiment with desk settings to see if I can fine tune to make the most of them. However, the M6 pro are a fine choice for someone like me playing the Dog and Doris once a month, if only I had more willpower......

Is that the CAR one? If so it used to be mine and is a superb bass, good choice!

[/quote] I've used a Fischer stick with a combi instrument/xlr cable which was fine apart from two things - it's pretty low volume and only mono. If I was doing it again I'd use a bodypack that amplified the signal from the desk. However if you can deal with the issues then I may well be selling that setup once I've had a chance to try my new wireless one tomorrow.

I normally get a decent amount of drums through the drummer's headset and bass drum mics. We don't do the full mix through the PA for time/kit/mixing skill (mine) reasons so I just need my vox, a bit of bass and kick drum and background levels of everything else. Given that I'm never more than 20 feet from the guitarist on the other side of the stage the effect is similar to wearing plugs with a bit more me to help me pitch backing vocals.

I've been using the M6 pro for a while and I agree about the fit. I've just ordered the UE900 so hopefully I'll be able to report back with a bit of a comparison.

I think there's still a Phil Jones double four on the for sale board here. Superb for what you need, great sound through headphones or speakers. Won't keep up with a band at all but if that isn't a possibility I'd start there.

Sound on stage and out front was clear and separated. We were using all backline but it wasn't a washout. The only gripe I have is that the butterfly style fastenings for the front plate prevent the amp from standing on it's short edge, which is the natural place you'd put it down given the position of the handle. Yep. Sounds great through an SC on it's own. Running it tonight with a gen 2 compact and the SC. I'll try and report back but I may be focused elsewhere given the gig is now a 3 piece rather than our usual four. My backing vocals will need a bit more attention than usual!

I get to gig my r400 for the first time tonight after a few very agreeable one cab rehearsals

Swapped an amp with Harry tonight. Great comms in the lead up, really easy to deal with and a lovely bloke to have a brew and a chat about the joys of fatherhood with! Thanks Harry, Andy
