....the Xiaomi sounded a lot more pleasant.

I think there probably will be a period of adjustment, like when I first got a proper HD telly. Took me about three weeks to get used to how good the picture was, it looked very weird for a while. -
I've been using the M6 pro for a while and I agree about the fit. I've just ordered the UE900 so hopefully I'll be able to report back with a bit of a comparison.

Then give Video killed the radio star a listen by The Presidents of the United States. Audience goes mad for it and, huge fun to play.

Great tune love the bassline. I suggested it but singer doesn't like it. I'm working on it though. -
We're kicking that one around as a potential track. Fits our 'take an 80s tune and whack big guitars on it' theme.

Sold pending.

Within a whisker several times but still no luck. More bumps.

I think there's still a Phil Jones double four on the for sale board here. Superb for what you need, great sound through headphones or speakers. Won't keep up with a band at all but if that isn't a possibility I'd start there.

Cheers Harry!
Close but no cigar type bump. -

Tell us more!

I know it's all subjective, but it just sounded....... right. Putting it through 2 cabs at 4 ohms made a huge difference in terms of pushing more air and giving the sound more weight. It was fat, round and clear without being muddy or boomy at the bottom end. I don't like much treble or bite at all but I've found that this means that higher notes can disappear, however this wasn't the case and it was even across all strings without treading on the guitarist's toes. Sound on stage and out front was clear and separated. We were using all backline but it wasn't a washout.
The only gripe I have is that the butterfly style fastenings for the front plate prevent the amp from standing on it's short edge, which is the natural place you'd put it down given the position of the handle. It took a diving save to prevent a nasty bump!
Anyway, crappy phone pic, but you can see the settings:

Reporting back: that went well!
-
Yep. Sounds great through an SC on it's own. Running it tonight with a gen 2 compact and the SC.
I'll try and report back but I may be focused elsewhere given the gig is now a 3 piece rather than our usual four. My backing vocals will need a bit more attention than usual! -
I get to gig my r400 for the first time tonight after a few very agreeable one cab rehearsals

Swapped an amp with Harry tonight. Great comms in the lead up, really easy to deal with and a lovely bloke to have a brew and a chat about the joys of fatherhood with!
Thanks Harry,
Andy -
Now only £500 for a great amp.
-
Cheers JV. Weekend bumpage.

Trade offers and PMs replied to. The tree in the pics is gone but the amp is still here.
-
That is filth. Have a bump.
-
Back off hold - now £525.

Trade offers replied to, still for sale. New year bump.

We've just had a few gigs for next year put in doubt because the landlord is reviewing the band policy due to 'some bands just not turning down'. If you can sort your guitarist out then you'll be doing all your local bands a favour.
I must be lucky in that we all seem to understand that levels have to be set for balance and the venue. Don't think I'd hang around long in a band that didnt. -
What were you thinking of? PM me, you never know

Shake the halls for Xmas type bump.

I normally get a decent amount of drums through the drummer's headset and bass drum mics. We don't do the full mix through the PA for time/kit/mixing skill (mine) reasons so I just need my vox, a bit of bass and kick drum and background levels of everything else. Given that I'm never more than 20 feet from the guitarist on the other side of the stage the effect is similar to wearing plugs with a bit more me to help me pitch backing vocals.
