  1. And no, you can't chuck £35 quid in yourself and get a new strap out of it 😉
  2. If anyone wants to donate and get a new strap out of it.....
  3. Mono Betty M80 Short Strap. In good used condition. The ends have got a couple of straplock marks but that's pretty much it. The stitching on the pick pocket on the back of the strap is coming away slightly (see pics). £35 posted to you. All proceeds from the sale go towards @AndyTravis house mods. Either send me the cash and I'll donate or DM me proof of donation (please make sure we've agreed a sale first - I don't want to get more than one message about a donation when I've only got the one strap). Cheers Andy
  4. My old cab. A complete stunner. Sounds even better than it looks. Wish I still had a use for it. Paul is an absolute gent to deal with too. Buy with confidence folks.
  5. A combination of being terminally skint, a degree of willpower I didn't know I possessed, and a fear of forgetting everything I know about bass playing when trying instruments out in front of other bassists.
  6. I'm in. Never done a deal with Andy, but as a fellow Manc I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
  7. Oh lord. Now all I need is the power to summon up £3k. Or actually £9k so I can get the pink, green and blue.....
  8. I genuinely don't know, although I've not come across it before on a fretted bass so it does seem plausible. The pickup config is also non standard, so that might also suggest a custom order. Might try to email Maruszczyk and get the original specs
  9. I bought a rather lovely Maruszczyk Jake 5 string from @Gareth Hughes of this parish a couple of weeks back. It's a longer scale than my Sandberg, has a bigger body, much wider string spacing and is heavier. I've even got different gauge strings on it. None of this has bothered me at all. However, the side dot fret markers are on the fret line, rather than in the middle. It completely threw me off. Had to buy stick on dots after repeatedly cocking up at rehearsal. Sounds very nice though. https://drive.google.com/file/d/11QZ3vcLVRAFGT_jyQAu1V1htqt-gYIPX/view?usp=drivesdk
  10. Always enjoy reading your posts Muzz. I'm from the same neck of the woods and can usually recognise the venues from your descriptions. No idea where you're gigging in Timperley though. Always found it to be a dead spot, a shame because it's about 5 mins from home.
  11. Completed a super easy deal on an amp with Jake. Brilliant comms and it arrived packed like a tank. Deal with confidence.
  12. Just completed a deal for Gareth's Maruszcyzk bass. All round top deal, from comms to speedy postage and great packaging. Another top basschatter, thanks!
  13. Not these ones. All made by professionals! Having a clear out before I start to investigate doing my own.
  14. Assorted cables. All measurements are approximate. All prices include postage. 1 . White 5m Straight neutrik jack to straight switchcraft jack. Well used, cable is a bit inflexible - £6 2. Black 10m straight jack to straight jack. Jacks are anonymous but pretty heavy duty. Cable is Stagg branded. Excellent condition. £10 3. Black 9m angled Neutrik silent jack to angled Neutrik jack. Van Damme pro grade cable. Excellent condition. £30 4. SOLD 5. Black 7m Speakon cable. Excellent condition. £15 6. SOLD
  15. More praise for Alain here. Super easy deal on a strap, but you already knew it would be from the previous 9 pages! Cheers!
  16. Fair enough. I was trying to update my signature. Doing it on mobile didn't work, even though the new sig showed in my profile editing page, it didn't show on any of my posts (even those made after the change). Updating it on desktop worked, no problem. No idea why
  17. Same here. Used the free version for a few years before finding out about the free education upgrade.
  18. Sharing a little love for Canva.com, a free graphics creation site. It has loads of templates and editable designs for everything from A3 posters to Instagram posts and facebook banners. If you work in a school (like I do) you can get a free upgrade to the pro account, which adds features like social media post scheduler, animations, premium content etc etc. As an example, I have zero artistic ability and I used it to make my new band's logo and this instagram animated/audio promo in about 15 minutes. #Edit Apologies, I can't make the promo any smaller! 19. The clickbait works then? Ah well, at least you've learned that I'm a doofus.
  20. Never mind, I'm a doofus.
  21. They don't do the 5 string in this finish, otherwise I would be powerless......
  22. Ideally after a straight swap for the short version of this brilliant strap. Good used condition, always had straplocks on so minimal wear & tear on the button holes. Long variant - extends from 47" to 59" pin to pin. Black/black/even more black version. £35 posted within the UK.
  23. So it's not just me then? This is an inevitability whenever I'm being recorded. My new band is trying to get some 'live at rehearsal' stuff down to send to venues and I just get a mental block! The band sounds great though, and I bet it's only you who noticed the little blip.
  24. This one's from last Saturday. A bit of a reunion for the old band up in the Lake District. The drummer is a permanent Coniston resident. We played an hour or so as part of a multi band charity do in a friend's garden. Just bloody good fun. Like putting on an old pair of slippers, we just dropped back into the groove. I'm sure that it was looser than when we were gigging regularly. No idea what the live FOH sound was like either. Sandberg Cali TM5 into the house rig. Couldn't hear much onstage, least of all my backing vox but didn't care. Just great to be back making noise with good mates. VID-20240901-WA0019.mp4 VID-20240901-WA0020.mp4 VID-20240901-WA0029.mp4
