  3. Still with them yes, six years now, longest I've been with any band. All over the country, really enjoying it. In fact we've just released the dates for the first half of 2019 then over the water in the second half of the year. Bring 'em on! Thanks for the mention
  4. Getting mixed u as to what strings are on which bass, anyone got a set of DR High beams on their bass? Do they have coloured ball ends? TIA
  5. For me, just keep doing it as you say. Ive been known to adjust the occasional bit in either the lyric line or the bassline to suit , but other than that juts keep practicing
  6. So, how many basses is 'too many basses'? Asking for a friend
  7. What is that? Im finding it strangely alluring... Think I need to get some sleep
  8. Oddly, a fretted 4 and a fretless 5 is what im intending to be slim my stage gear down to for this year. But then there's my upright....
  9. The Aggiss, yes indeed. A finer keeper of time I'm yet to play in front of Are you also in a band with The Aggiss?
  10. Hi, for sale here is a Yamaha BBG4A - mk 2 in a lovely deep red. The bass is in good condition with only one ding I can find on the top horn (pictured). The gold metal work has started to tarnish slightly, but I think that only adds to the appeal. The eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted this is currently wearing piccolo strings, for the sale it'll be back to standard round strings, but if you'd like the piccolos ill leave it as is for an extra tenner. Pick up preferred near Honiton, but can drop off at a gig if my band is coming near you anytime soon, dates here - http://www.cloudbustingkatebushtribute.com/dates.html or there's postage, buyer can sort own courier or I can post for the extra cost.
  11. For sale, a Squier jazz body, neck plate and screws included, loaded with Bartolini pups. The body has a couple of small blemishes hear and there, (Roadworn!) its a used body so nothing too unexpected. Pickups and scratchplate have a few string marks. It has also been drilled for a side jack socket, which is still in place, not connected though. The pups and control plate are not connected either, little bit of soldering ( not my strong point so I haven't) and Roberts your father brother. £85 plus postage
  12. Back up for sale now the dust from my house move has finally settled.
  13. I really need this gone - crazy price drop for a week and then It goes to the woodburner - £150
  14. Whats the little button for in between the last two control knobs? **edit ** sorry, just seen the explanation further down the thread
  15. For sale this hard case from Stagg, made from moulded hard ABS plastic. Excellent condition. Fits a standard Jazz bass, P bass etc snugly, however oversized basses such as Explorer's etc probs wouldn't fit ( I haven't got one to check). The White jazz in the pic is not included in the sale. Nor my daughters box of Milk Tray. That I haven't snaffled any of. Honest. Collection near Honiton preferably, though I will be on the road in February so can bring to a gig if we are playing near you - http://www.cloudbustingkatebushtribute.com/dates.html. Other than that, theres postage but I have no idea how much that would be.
  16. I do, Absolutely Dumptruck still gets aired on my iBrick from time to time, with 'Back where I Belong' a particular favourite. What relation is the pictured album?
  17. Two good leads for me to check out, thanks guys. I already run a Morley switch for inputting the signal to the Zoom, so that's covered already, but thanks for the info Newfoundfreedom
  18. ….please I'm in a tribute band with quite varied material, that spans several decades, and as such getting an authentic sound for one song means its totally wrong for another. In the new year I am thinking of expanding things a bit, so I'm looking for a floor mounted effects unit that can cover numerous bases ( sic) Up to yet I've been using a Zoom multi unit, but mainly to assign certain volumes to the 4 (!) basses I have been using on stage, a P on flats, a J on rounds, a fretless and two variants of an upright, bowed and plucked. What id like to do next year is start to assign patches for each individual song, we run around 25 songs per show so would need at least that many. Id like to introduce a bit of chorus where its needed, compression etc etc so looking for something with a good voice and lots of scope for tweakery . The current Zoom pedal is a bit....grainy if you know what I mean. What do you think I should be looking at buying?
  19. I'm sure there are many. They may want a few further details though?
  20. Anyone interested in this? Could do with it gone. Make an offer if you fancy it
