  1. My own solution to this is a multi effects pedal with different patches. We don't use amps however so Im not too precious about my tone, as the soundman/PA usually colour it beyond recognition anyway. I use a wireless system and just unplug it when swapping basses. If you want to have the two basses permanently plugged in, you could use a footswitch. Morley do a good one, which I can recommend as I use one of them too for an upright which stays plugged in.
  2. Very close to the truth, I bought a new phone and it arrived with a fault on the camera lens, so it simply would not/could not focus. Took me a while to twig, luckily was replaced with no hassle.
  3. Now sold. My herd thinning continues with this, a Yamaha RBX374. This is a really nice bass, in very, very good condition, plays well and has a monster sound. The two MM style pickups give access to a very large palette of tones, very impressive. Usually is with Yamaha instruments though I find. The pics speak for themselves. I'm based near Honiton if anyone wants to come have a noodle, and would prefer the bass be collected. I'm not averse to posting if need be though. Alternatively, I'm on the road a fair bit with my band, and could bring this along to a gig should we be playing near you. Dates and venues here - http://cloudbusting.co.uk/dates
  4. At the risk of sounding like I don't know what I'm doing ( ha!) …..links please?
  5. I don't think it'd pay well anyway, moneys too tight to Maension
  6. Couldn't watch all of it, but it looks to me like the three front row members of the band are enjoying the show an awful lot more than the audience is
  7. At last! Pics! Last pic is a stain near the jack socket, this appears to be under the varnish tho
  8. Back on topic tho….lol That's a lovely P bass there mate
  9. I occasionally go into the audience during a number as I run a wireless set up - usually enjoy it
  10. Thatd be ace wouldn't it? Who here hasn't wanted to see their own band play? Id love to lol and a Hippy bathday from me too
  11. My main gig bass is one of these, only time ive seen another in the same colour. Id have this as a back up if I had the cash/space GLWTS
  12. "Don't dismiss the stuff that you think you've dealt with, you haven't even started yet. Also, think twice on taking that duvet on that first date, you'll know what I mean when I get there. Lastly, the time is now. oh and ps. - stop picking at it!"
  13. I have one of these too, really like it. The neck is sooooo slim, just how I like them
  14. Can I take the La Bellas and the Drs off you please mate? Pmed
  15. Still having a job with pics, not sure whats going on. thinks its this end though, bear with
  16. Now £150 Here for sale is an Aria Pro IGB 40 These were made around the end of the last century, I've seen a few similar but with only three knobs, also billed as IGB 40's so I think the spec may have changed through the years they were produced. My first bass was a 4 knob version of this in a dark walnut colour, hence me purchasing this, hankering after my youth. However, its just not getting played, probably because I'm nowhere near my youth anymore. Its an active bass, 9v. A couple of small blemishes in the wood from fingernails where you would expect them from slapping. The previous owner tried to make the bass look like a through neck, by applying a couple of stripes of some sort on the body, as you can see these have almost faded now to nothing. Id prefer it if this was collected, but will post in a gigbag if the buyer so wishes. I'm near Honiton in Devon. Although I do travel around the UK a fair bit with my band, could bring it along to a gig and do 'the deal' there. Heres a list of dates for the forthcoming future - (theres many more planned for the second half of the year too) - http://www.cloudbustingkatebushtribute.com/dates.html
  17. I appear to be having a dickens of a time uploading pics, bear with
  18. **BASS NOW SOLD ** Here for sale is a Squier VM P bass in the amber finish. We all know what these basses are about, incredibly good quality for the price. This is a standard model, with no extrenuous fiddling gone on by the look of things, though I have not owned it from new I must confess. There are a couple of dings in the (very thick looking) lacquer/varnish, which my appalling camera skills have singularly failed to show up. One either side of the belly cutaway at the top, and a pair on the back near the lower cutaway. Also a very small ding in the wood on the back of the neck, none of these affect the instrument, purely cosmetic. I'm based near Honiton in Devon if anyone wants to come have a look/noodle. I would rather the bass is collected, but will post in a gigbag if the buyer so desires.
