1. Many thanks Madshadows, youre right they are cracking basses for the money. It looks like Tom1946 is going to be taking this one off my hands
2. I bought one of these toward the end of last year, lovely looking bass and played great too with its Wilkinson hardware - http://www.thomann.d..._hbb1975_na.htm Many folks on this forum have experience of the HB basses and the vast majority of them seem to be good ones. The particular bass I had slotted straight into my gig line up of 3 basses (fretless, P with flats, J with rounds) and held its own perfectly well until July of this year when for some odd reason the headstock bent forward meaning the A string wouldn't stay in the nut. I emailed Thomann and they sent me a returns label to send the bass back and they would replace it under warranty. All good there. Problem was that the whole replacement process would take 4 weeks, and I had gigs to play. Only answer was to buy another bass, which I did. Just got back today from a weekend of gigs to find an enormous box in my kitchen with Thomann on the side. Sure enough, inside it is a brand new JB-75NA. If anyone is interested in buying a new JB-75NA and fancies getting a few quid off, then shout up. As you can see from the link up there, retail on these is around £100 plus post, Ill let this go for £70 as I just dont need it anymore. I haven't even opened the inner carton so this is brand spanking new. Anyone interested? Im based on the South coast, near Axminster. ps. Thomann assured me that they've never seen the headstock problem before, on any of their products. Ive never seen it happen before either.
3. So he knows nothing about it but suspects it to be 70's model I know nothing about the history of my Renault van, but suspect it was once owned by James Dean. I suspect he bought it off Jesus and sold it to Elvis Presley.
4. Im thinking this endless swapping back and forth of the same bass is just an elaborate way to build your feedback profiles
5. Gutted! hes playing just down the road from me and Im playing the same night the other end of the country. AAAARRGGGHHH!!!
6. Im lucky enough to have an Affinity and a VM, the CV feels....different. Don't get me wrong, its nice. I can feel differences between the three for sure, even with my clumsy fingers. Im intrigued about the range, sadly I have been the victim in the past of buying something that turned out to not be what I was led to believe it was, and that threw my judgement about Fenders/Squiers for a while. Id like to get back on the right track.
7. First five digits of the serial are CGS 11, so thatd be made in 2011 I guess?
8. Scored myself a CV jazz the other day, not had a CV before and it feels very different from my other Squiers. So much so that I want to check its the real deal. Its Crafted in China according to the sticker. is there an online number checker? cheers

10. Take you biggest cab and show how many teeth you can shake loose from your interviewers jaw Id agree with what you said at the beginning, groove over 'flash' But then I cant do 'flash' And struggle with 'groove' if Im honest lol
11. BVs here and occasional lead. But as Ezbass said, if it gets in the way of the bass then I don't. Luckily theres not much call for male lead vocal in my band though
12. Hello? How are you? Have you been alright, through all these lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely nights? That's what Id say ^^
