A very special customising job for Happy Jack

How did you go about replicating the end shape of the neck/neck pocket? Is that just done by eye/feel? -
Anyone have any tips and methods on how to cut mirrored plastic scratchplate material? Tried with a jigsaw (fine blade) and it shattered. Scoring with a knife didn't work either. TIA

America by Razorlight?

The Stranglers (being supported by the Buzzcocks) at Caldicot Castle last night. I'd not seen them with Baz Warne before, he's really rather good isn't he? Worked out that last time I'd seen them was 34 years ago!

Ah, cool! Come up and say hi, I'm usually hanging round the merch table somewhere
-
Was that you I had a (very) brief chat with at the merch table? Would have liked to chat a bit more but the table was really busy, looked like a tornado had tripped through afterwards! I did however make a mental note to tidy up my playing in the second half as there was a fellow doghouse man in the venue 😃

I have butchered a cheap bass in a similar way myself, (Cruiser Crafter) but its staying with me anyway so I'm not bovvered

Pardon my ignorance please, what do you mean by 'backlash' on the tuners?
-
Well well, thats an interesting idea. As a big fan of slim necks maybe I should try an experiment or two.....

How do you date the Aerodyne Jazzes? I have one but have no clue as to when it was made

As said above he's put in the hours and knows about music, can play piano, has busked, studied, and put himself into all sorts of band/musical situations in order to learn. If he was to put an album out I doubt it'd be an hours worth of the sort of blistering material that he crams into his 3 minute videos, I for one would buy it. He's achieved what I believe the majority of us on here would probably like to achieve and most likely would try if given a different life/universe, and joined the ranks of the most well rounded players on the planet at this point. Kind of a Guthrie Govan for bass. I buy his stuff too.

His skill levels are through the roof, but when you see how much work he's put in to get to where he is today its deservedly so.

I suppose the opposite is true as well, if you'd started playing ten years later than you did you'd still have ten years to go to get to your current standard. Or 6 weeks using the model you used up there. So here's a deal, I have a scheme that can** add ten years playing experience to your style. Yours for the bargain price of £50, I'll pm the details after payment ** possibly.
