  1. BVs here and occasional lead. But as Ezbass said, if it gets in the way of the bass then I don't. Luckily theres not much call for male lead vocal in my band though
  2. Hello? How are you? Have you been alright, through all these lonely lonely lonely lonely lonely nights? That's what Id say ^^
  3. and have any of these been posted before?
  4. How many roads must a man walk down?
  5. Is there anybody....out there....?
  6. I particularly like the Antigua finish and really fancy a jazz in that scheme. They seem to come along not so often though So maybe the thing to do would be to make my own. I cant paint for toffee, or with toffee, so Id be looking to enlist someone else do that job, anyone know of any decent refinishers who'd be up to the job?
  7. So its a case of try before you buy then I guess. Might be a bit tricky as ill most likely be ordering from Thomann lol
  8. Ive heard it said (in hushed tones) that a natural finish Squier jazz will weigh more than its equivalent brethren in a painted finish. Does anyone happen to know if this is true? I ask about Squiers as opposed to 'genuine' fenders as its probably the Squier I will be looking to purchase. TIA
  9. I love the descriptor 'refinished'. Id say its barely been re-started yet
  10. And, if im not much mistaken, "Band Names - A Fresh Approach" hasn't been taken yet either
  11. I was given the quite frankly awesome "Because we're arseholes" on my FB feed the other day. Im thinking probably a Radiohead tribute.....
  12. tbh if it had been available in practically any other finish than the Brown Burst Id have gone for that
  13. I can thoroughly recommend it for Kate Bush tunes lol
  14. Bludgeon him to death with a blunt instrument, then impale his still twitching corpse on a mic stand and parade him right at the front of the stage as a warning to other potential silence shatterers to get some 'res-peck man' Im not joking here, its a tried and tested method of setting out your stall, Les Claypool has already done it, that trout used to flap his fins all over its Fin-der Strato'caster, scales flying everywhere, volume at eleven. Les just flipped one day, and has never had the problem since
  15. Im happy to say I have one of these and would happily recommend it to anyone. An excellent instrument, specially if you favour slim necks
  16. happy Birthday Is it socks?
  17. The idea I believe is to get longer scale lengths for the lower strings to beef up the sound. I may of course be utterly wrong about this
  18. Saw them back in 89-90 at Birmingham Irish Centre being supported by the wonderful Miracle Legion. Both bands were happy to come down after their sets and chat to us punters. Good times
  19. Im not normally a fan of sunburst, but that looks very special indeed. Top drawer!
  20. The working title for The Cults biggest hit was originally "She Sells Sanctuary On The Seashore....." and then went on for another 3 lines, but was shortened after a painful twisting injury to Ian Astbury's tongue
  21. Nice looking bass, if only I had some dough....
