1. A nice and easy pleasant transaction with Richievet today, when he bought my Warwick Thumb 4. Best of luck with the bass fella
2. Few bits for sale, all tested and working fine Samson CR4 Concert 4 rack mount wireless system. All the bits are there except the box and the manual, but easy enough to set up. This system did me proud with my rather strange perversion for jumping into the crowd and pratting around during songs. Described as a VHF True Diversity system, I have not got the fisrt clue what that means. The Guitardist in the band had the exact same set up too, and our signals never crossed. Runs off a 9volt battery. This particular one runs at 173.8 MHz, channel 16. Included - rack mount receiver, 2 aerials, wireless sender, power supply. £90 plus postage or buyer can collect from Lyme Regis area. Boss EH-2 Enhancer Pedal. Unused, boxed with manual. £35 plus postage or buyer can collect from Lyme Regis area. 10 metre speakon-speakon lead, 1.6metre speakon-speakon lead. I used to run a Warwick head and cabs, these were the leads that connected them. I may be wrong that they are called speakon connections, hopefully someone will put me right if I am. £18 for the 10 metre, £10 for the 1.6 metre, again plus postage or buyer can collect.
3.
Again, not the wife, but the sister in law got me the following books:
Fair play to you both - I have been gifted the lower of the 2, first bass related pressie Ive ever had
4. Lovely looking bass, cant see that neck ever coming loose
5. I also swapped an Aria Pro down to BEAD with no mods and it played fine and dandy. It alos converted straight back again years later
6. I had something fail on me a verse into a song at a gig in Leicester once, to this day I still dont know what it was, the rest of the band played on like pros whilst I and a few members of support bands threw new cables and the likes at my set up. the sound came back in just in time for me to hit teh very last note of the track! pure comedy! half the audience were about wetting themselves lol
7. Not necessarily. Do you like watching Gok Wan and or Ugly Betty?
8. <cynic> maybe he would rather it sells on Gumtree so that the buyer doesnt have all the Ebay protection that they seem to get i.e. Paypal always finding in the buyers favour in a dispute</cynic>
9.
OMG how many controls?
All of them it would seem
10. I have the opposite problem. ill play a line and think " By eck thats a good one" and be quite pleased with myself only to hear the line a few days later in one of my favourite tunes
11. Gotta be honest, when this thread first appeared I looked at the raw woods and thought Im not going to like this bass, but Im eating my words (thoughts) now coz this has turned out to be absolutely beautiful. Its lucky that not everyone is as short sighted as me eh? lol Much kudos to you both
12.
I'd have this off you. If it was fretted ;P Gl with the sale, not what you'll need it!
Balls - sorry Budget Bassist, I hadnt read the ad properly, I didnt realise it was fretless. Nice bass tho, as the last guy said, Id have had it if it was fretted. Sorry again, but in the words of those appalling 'Dragons' - "Im out!"
13. Always always always list your item as 'Rare' everybody falls for that one (hmm wheres the sarcastic smiley?)
14. "Rare" is the most overused word in teh english language. Amazing how many mass produced items ahve suddenly become 'Rare', usually when theres at least half a dozen other examples on ebay at the same time, wow coincednce
15.
Having just joined a bunch of Jazz Musicians, I could really do with a copy of "The Real Book" but in PDF format. I know I should really go for the printed version and carry it around, but would rather see if i can manage with printing off just the transcriptions I need.
The irony!
16. Would you like any condiments to go with your flambe'ed hat Mr pickguard?
17. That is a nice looking bass. Are all the electrics working ok? (cant get sound on this laptop so cant check your youtube video out)
18. I have a Westfield 5 string that was a cheapy (my first bass in fact) and is immensely enjoyable. '"Big up the Westfield massive" and other uninteligible 'yoof' talk
19.
Come on, do not let this thread die! What about poor Tim? Have you all forgot?
I guess his tim is up
20.
Trades at all?
There is very little i would be interested in at the moment as I could really do with the cash, but of course that all depends on what youve got to trade?
21. I've just been round to the house of an old flame. She'd gone out.
