7. I use a program from DVDvideosoft, its free but cant see who its made by
8. Not sure if this counts coz it didnt happen to me - playing a gig at bar in Hinckley (centre of the universe dontchakno lol) we get to the last number which has a small twiddly guitar solo half way thru. Guitardist stands on a chair whilst doing the solo but when he moves forward to dismount the chair slips backwards and he ends up flat on his face ( wierdest chord Ive ever heard lol) Now the poor sod had only just had his two front teeth capped at a a cost of £800 and I honestly thought hed lost them. But he surfaces with his guitar in 2 peices and just sort of holds them up to the audience for inspection Crowd loved it, they didnt realise it wasnt scripted and we would play no more gigs till he got it fixed lol proper rock and roll encore Luckily it was the last song, coz it would have been then anyway lmao ps. the drummer didnt even realise we had lost 33% of teh instruments and finished off totally oblivious bless him
9. ..and then there was the Groovy Ghoulies
10. Not to mention Dame Cleo Lane excellent program - both my daughters fave and one of mine too
11. Ive had bass battery probs too - battery diwed during soundcheck so went to put a new one in and the battery snap cam out in my hands Luckily we had a fella with us who actually carried a soldering kit ( amongst other things) with him and he was able to fix it. A big cheer for ginger Dan Dan the sound man ( hes a sound man dontchakno)
12. Ive just mioved to Uplyme which I beleive is right on the border isnt it? Does that make me a dirty foreigner?
13. Yeah - cool aint it? They got some funky tunes going on and some amazing animations - I think the music is all done by one bloke. I like the starship one meself
14. thought you were going to say it had grown frets lol
15. So if a pound coin is about the average, is £20 good or bad Im quite a violent stage player, I always had cheapy(ish) basses for stage use coz I used to beat the carp out of them, fret clank was an issue in places so I had quite a high action and learned to incorporate the clicks into my sound/style. Maybe it was a totally amatuer thing to do/ way to play, but I never had any punters complain and I certainly did enjoy myself once the music started ( terrible stage fright - never did get rid of it )
16. A nice and easy pleasant transaction with Richievet today, when he bought my Warwick Thumb 4. Best of luck with the bass fella
17. Few bits for sale, all tested and working fine Samson CR4 Concert 4 rack mount wireless system. All the bits are there except the box and the manual, but easy enough to set up. This system did me proud with my rather strange perversion for jumping into the crowd and pratting around during songs. Described as a VHF True Diversity system, I have not got the fisrt clue what that means. The Guitardist in the band had the exact same set up too, and our signals never crossed. Runs off a 9volt battery. This particular one runs at 173.8 MHz, channel 16. Included - rack mount receiver, 2 aerials, wireless sender, power supply. £90 plus postage or buyer can collect from Lyme Regis area. Boss EH-2 Enhancer Pedal. Unused, boxed with manual. £35 plus postage or buyer can collect from Lyme Regis area. 10 metre speakon-speakon lead, 1.6metre speakon-speakon lead. I used to run a Warwick head and cabs, these were the leads that connected them. I may be wrong that they are called speakon connections, hopefully someone will put me right if I am. £18 for the 10 metre, £10 for the 1.6 metre, again plus postage or buyer can collect.
18.
Again, not the wife, but the sister in law got me the following books:
Fair play to you both - I have been gifted the lower of the 2, first bass related pressie Ive ever had
19. Lovely looking bass, cant see that neck ever coming loose
20. I also swapped an Aria Pro down to BEAD with no mods and it played fine and dandy. It alos converted straight back again years later
21. I had something fail on me a verse into a song at a gig in Leicester once, to this day I still dont know what it was, the rest of the band played on like pros whilst I and a few members of support bands threw new cables and the likes at my set up. the sound came back in just in time for me to hit teh very last note of the track! pure comedy! half the audience were about wetting themselves lol
22. Not necessarily. Do you like watching Gok Wan and or Ugly Betty?
23. <cynic> maybe he would rather it sells on Gumtree so that the buyer doesnt have all the Ebay protection that they seem to get i.e. Paypal always finding in the buyers favour in a dispute</cynic>
