  1. Cant be - the nut slots on the E and A strings aren't low enough
  2. Went to see the Skimmity Hitchers last night, hadn't twigged who'd be on bass duties, of course its @TheRev's band innit. Cracking night, cider and jokes flowing nicely, and grooving tunes a-plenty. Really enjoyed it, and as a little bonus, even my home town had the p%ss took out of it, along with just about everywhere/everyone else Excellent sweaty fun, get along and see them if you can
  3. SOLD Here we have an example of the bewilderingly named range of Stingray basses, I believe the correct title for this bass is a 'Sterling by Music Man Stingray Sub 4' in a rather lovely trans blue. Bass is in very good condition, only mark is near the bridge where ham fisted string changes have taken a small divot of the finish off. I've tried to capture it but it's hard to photograph. Specially as I'm the ham fisted one. Active circuit, these things pump as I'm sure you know. Collection from near Axminster, or I'm all round the UK at different times with my band so could easily bring it along to a gig.
  4. What are the woods used in this bass?
  5. In haiku - Oh fishy trumpet, Sadly you're fit for the bin, My mates are tossers.
  6. There once was a trumpeteer named Rick, Whose friends loved taking the mick, In his horn they hid a gar, And from the boot of his car, The stench made him feel really sick
  7. Worst limerick ever.
  8. Sometimes use a mandolin on stage, and one particular setlist had me going from an upright bass (scale length 42") to the mando in the next song. That was quite a change
  9. Couple of mates have a punk band called The Stank Waynes.

One in, one out ( not the same one) Thought I'd done better than that. I will leave it up to the reader to decide what is meant by 'better'
  11. Played with a few diff ailments including broken bones in my fretting hand which was painful, but I think the worst was a show that I could feel a toothache coming on all day, which was getting worse by the hour. By the time of the show it was raging and I was going into the wings and clawing at my face between songs. I hope I never have to go through that again, I can handle most things but toothache is something else.
  12. Bought a Longhorn from Three, he held onto to it for a couple of months for me until I was passing by his place to pick it up. Great bloke to chat to and an easy fellow to deal with. Top marks all round
  13. Errrr..... I beg to differ.......there's plainly 4 on one side and only 3 on the other ......
  14. #25 straining on tiptoes and gurning at the back
  15. Yes indeed, that was a most pleasant way to spend a Sunday. I hope I can make another one Good to meet old and new faces alike
  16. That is excellent, a definite improvement on what it was before. Nice one
  17. Was just going to! And the R1 to its left
  18. I shall bring along my GK combo and cab. Have an Overwater 5 and an Ibanez Portamento I can put in the car as well
  19. This isn't the thread for it of course, but are there any more pics of this bass on the site? I've only ever seen that one. I'd love to see more as that is just stunning
