I have an ashdown mag300 1X15 combo with an abm mini 4X8 extension. I have noticed recently that the input gauge light/illumination dims when receiving signal. is this normal? also is the amp solid state or valved, how can you tell? as its a combo i cant get inside to look. also if its not valved whats the point of the input dial with its red section? any advice please thanks jim

help please. I have an ashdown Mag 300 15" combo and ABM mini 4x8" extension cab rig and I'm looking for the best amp setup suggestions. I play a thunderbird bass through it with the tone set to low. I am looking to get a rich deep bass sound with plenty of rumble with out the sound getting to "wooly" as the sound engineer called it at our gig on saturday night! any help would be much appreciated. input = ? o'clock low bass = ? o'clock Bass = ? o'clock Mid = ? o'clock high mid = ? o'clock treble = ? o'clock sub harmonics = ? o'clock Please use the 'clock' system or even better post a pic of your amp settings many thanks jim
