it a matter of preference with emg's i have a set and they sound killa in my bass and with the quick connect makes them very easy to install and gives you you a wide range of tone.
check out thomann as you can get emg's there really cheaply. -
if your looking for some really nice active / passive pickups go for emg's great sounding versatile pickups. will give that rocking tone that you want.

really nice bass come with some emg active pickups and set in neck. -

i'd go for the emg's myself as i got a set and they sound really good. the clarity of makes them a pickup perfect for all genres. -
hey ladies and gentlemen
i study engineering at college and for next year i have to do a project on a product or tech thats got a problem with it or find a way making it more efficient.
if your suffering and problems with gear preferably stuff with pedalboards, stompboxes or ambs and any other tech please let me know.

Hello All,
been playing bass now for nearly a year after having gap over the years from playing other musical instruments the bass really struck me as you can get some killa sounds from. currently playing a fender squier p bass and looking to upgrade soon when i have the money.
really enjoying the sight as it gives me all the info i need.
