What is the philosophy of just a single pickup instead of the normal 2 pickups on these basses, Cheers

Mike Lull P4, Trade for Spector or cash sale. Think I will regret this but am loving my Spector and not playing this bass much. As such I am putting this bass up for sale or will trade for a nice Spector. This is about 6 weeks old and bought new from Bass Direct. Comes with a fitted gig-bag (Pro Tec Mike Lull). This is one hell of a P bass and made by Mike Lull who is rated as one of the top 5 Bass luthiers in the world. Finish is sublime and sound from the Fralins and tone woods is immense. If you are a P bass lover then this is going to blow you away.... The neck profile is fairly shallow which makes manoeuvring around the fretboard a breeze. The neck is also fully Plek'd to give superb playability. If you like a light bass then this will float your boat to as it weighs about 7lb 6oz and the balance is spot on.. I like it a lot and if it was just over 8lbs would be a no brainer. My last Dirnt bass was heavy and done my back in on a long set. Great bass for someone who does not mind the weight.
