1.
what's the fretwork like? most reviews I've read suggest that lets these down, but the whole thing isreally eyecatching! Cheers Jules
Hi - I just had another check after your post and the fretwork is fine - the frest are even no sharp edges - the whole bass has a good feel to it - its not a £1500 bass - but at £200 I reckon its really good value and as you say the look is great and it plays well ! again anyone is welcome to try! thanks
2. Thanks shockwave - yes it is mighty fine looking - trying for a straight sale right now but will keep things in mind cheers

12. Fender Precision 1970's reissue - Ash Body - US Spec Pickups - - I bought this from Ishibashi the week before they stopped shipping Fender Basses to the EU - It is a great very lite - classic precision sound - comes with a gig bag - one small issue is that access to the truss rod is at the heel of the neck eg you need to take the neck off now having several other basses where there is a neat 'groove' at this point allowing truss rod access I decided I could easily cut this myself allowing easy access if required- I started and then very quickly decided it wasnt a good idea. This doesnt affect playing at all and is very minor and could easily be finished by someone who knew what they were doing or hidden by a scratch plate - photos show all - this is the model that was on sale for £699 at guitar emporium - taking into account my small handy work and current market - price £300 delivered. I think this is fair - any comments on price welcome Collection / viewing welcome cheers
13. "BTW the Celinder looks like it's on its way West and South............ " Oh Yes!!!
14. Continuing a bit of a 'thinning' of the herd now so.... - Bought this a little while ago from BB2000 on the forum - again I bought it because it was just such a good price for such a lot of bass. It was primarily bought as a back up to take to gigs and has such is well travelled but not been out of its case more than 5 time since I bought it! it sounds great and here is the text from the original sale (hope this is ok BB!) http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...=yamaha+bb1500a "Only issue with this one is that one of the strap buttons has been moved by a previous owner, leaving an unfilled screwhole. These are superb basses - they were highly acclaimed when introduced, won numerous awards, and then Yamaha stopped production (go figure). They were Yamaha's only jazz style bass at the time and sold at a retail of about £800 in the UK (Yamaha's replacement jazz - only avaliable in Asia as far as I know retails for about the same). The nut width is about the same as a Fender B neck. PUPs are humbucking. Electronics are volume/pan/bass(cut/boost)/treble(cut/boost) and a 3 way mid selector which can be set using an internal potentiometer to give boost or cut. Really nice basses (as well as this one I have another pair owned from new). In my opinion these are better basses than any of the Skyline Lakland jazz offerings (yes, I've owned these as well). Any Q's give a shout." 15. New Spector Euro LX - one of the Sound control jobs -bit of an impulse purchase just because the price was so good. Plays really well - the first bass I have had with EMG pick ups and it wont be the last. Not being used though so up for sale. I paid £500 for it so for sale at £500 (no trades - too many basses!) delivery included at £500. Comes with a padded gig bag and will be packed well for delivery. Welcome to try or collect with cash. 16. its on its way - no worries
17. I have the 12" walkabout and I have to say it is great - I would recommend you try if you can as the "bottom end" that comes from the 12" on its own is quite something to behold so if that is your reason for wanting the 15" I personally would say have a listen to the 12" combo. The other thing is that it will happily run at 2 ohms so again I would consider the 4 ohm version personally. The tone is great though and I doubt you will be disapointed whatever you do - you dont seem to see many second hand and I reckon that says a lot about how good they are
18. How much are you looking for ?
19. Amazed this is still here!
20. Great transaction - quick good communication - quick - pleasure to deal
21. Bought a Duck Dunn off me - met up - good chat nice guy - pleasure to do business with all the best Terry
22. possibly not unsurprisingly in view of the posts - Sold - thank you for the advice - my bad for not checking out the price beforehand i Guess
23. As stated japanese built model - it has a really nice sound to it and is very versatile - it does have some knocks the worst of which is shown (next to the back plate ) in photos, but also has some light scratches and wear and tear but nothing of great significance and nothing that affects playing. It is a really well built bass the neck is great and as I said sounds great. I am thinking £300 delivered is a reasonable price but any constructive feedback on the price is welcome cheers
24. 6 pm's in under 2 hours - popular bass!! soon to be in the possesion off a niceguy!
