1. Actually, the Streamer is a copy of the original Spector...
2. The standard spacing for a Warwick 5 is 16mm, on the broadneck it goes up to 20mm. Some say it's not noticeable... as someone who plays both, I can safely say, yes it is! However, the Corvette Standard 5 is a very playable bass. GLWTS
3. The jack issue is more of an issue with the part, not the company itself. They're completely unpredictable, I've even had numerous high quality ones fail on me. The contacts are very thin and they just bend. On a normal socket, fine, just bend them back, but as Warwickhunt says, it's a sealed unit. I'm considering having the sockets on both the Streamers routed to have the locking ones fitted.
4.
I've never heard anyone complain before of the fit and finish of Warwick basses, regardless of era. They may well have come and gone in fashion and the various efforts to improve the nut have been ludicrous (we won't mention the jack sockets ) and the neck profiles are certainly a marmite thing but construction wise I've always found them spot on with no shonky woodwork/necks etc.
There were no gripes with fit, finish however, ooh dear. As for the jacks, I really do wish they sorted them out years ago! I just see them as a consumable now. Apart from the SS1, all the other Warwicks have had replacements as has the G&L.
5. I always seem to balls up Crazy Little Thing Called Love, I can get convincingly by, but it never sounds right to me... especially last night when I had to sing too!
6. For that money, you could pick up an Apogee Duet, cracking interface, dead easy to use and built like a tank. Mine's a few years old and still going strong. They look good too! Software options, Logic Pro's always a good place to start, and if you're just wanting to get started, Garageband isn't particularly bad either!
7. I'm a big Warwick fan, and find it interesting to see how Warwick have changed over the years. I remember when PMT were one of the main dealers, now they have pretty much sod all. They've always been noted for losing their value though, my 2013 SS1 would've cost around £4k new apparently, yet I picked it up at around 1 year old for over £1k less than new. The quality of them has been up and down over the years too, which hasn't helped the matters. I've got one from '96 and one from '99, and the quality is fantastic, and both are beautiful instruments. However, I had one from 2000 which I think is where things started to change, the quality didn't feel quite the same as the earlier ones I have. I then got myself a 2003 Corvette Standard, and whilst German made like the others, it didn't feel like a quality product. Needless to say, I moved it on after around 9 months. My friend's got a 2007 Corvette Standard, and that one feels absolutely dreadful. So naturally, I was sceptical to get such a new one. It's got to be said though, the quality is back. The fit and finish of the SS1 is impeccable, and they've gone back to using Wenge for the necks too, and have a nice shape and profile. The 2007 Corvette felt a bit like playing a cricket bat! Whether I'd ever justify the cost of one new, I doubt it. It's a lot of money for a lot of bass, but as people have said here, you can get non custom Foderas and the like for less! As a second hand buy though, go for it!
8. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I don't want to use velcro. Never been struck on using it for pedals or anything, I've always had them cut into a sheet of foam. The foam the board came with was great, but I restructured the entire board to accommodate wireless, but the foam I got on ebay is crap and everything moves (basically it's not rigid enough). I'm due to restructure again as my new playing job requires some more pedals, and no wireless, so that's godda go! I'll have a look through efoam's site and see what's good for the job. I've bought from them before so know they're a good supplier!
9. As the title says really. I'm due to restructure the board (again!), and the foam I've got for it is a little weak and all of the pedals move around. I'm looking for a really rigid foam that I can cut the pedals into, but it still be rigid enough to not move.

Bumpity bump. No trades now, straight sale only!
11. Oh yeah I've had that before. I've had the whole singer going "you've not learnt it", when I had done, the iPad was for reference and way out of the way, whilst he had his iPad at face level full of charts and lyrics
12. I get a lot of dep gigs, so I've got a low mic stand with an iPad clamp. Depending on the band / how well I know the set, I sometimes have it handy but don't let myself rely on it. It's compact and out of the way though, and usually disguised by a speaker stand! With my new band though, no reading at all.
13. Just go for a pair of the 112s Russ, I've just down sized from 112 and 115 to 2 112s. They're both light enough, pack a massive punch with plenty of low end, and they fit nicely next to each other in the boot of an A Class Merc!
14. It's lovely, currently in dock having some wiring done (I'm not paying £150 for a new volume pot on a board, so as the board is only there to direct the wires to various places, I have a very good electrical specialist on the case of wiring just a new pot in). It's a bit good to be using as my backup / pub bass. It'll be going on it's travels with me though as the second bass to my SS1 (provided the airliners don't break it!)
15. Posty came this morning with a second cab for me. Got the rig just how I want it now! Portable, light, punchy and loud! 16. I've got my Harley 5 fretless acoustic. Sounds nice, but doesn't really project. Never really tried the preamp, I just leave it flat if I'm plugged in and let the MXR deal with it. My only real gripe, is that the fret dots on the side, are 50/50 in accuracy. So up to the 12th position, they're either where they should be on a fretless, or where they should be on a fretted, and then after that, with no warning at all, they swap.
17. Sold pending
18. £110 ono bump
19. Crikey this one's doing the rounds! I took it in part ex for the Wal, passed it to Kev for the Streamer, then elsewhere! I can vouch though, having played it, it sounds and plays absolutely brilliantly. Good luck
20. Bump as keeping the 1x12 and now only selling the 1x12 / trades for another HyDrive 112.
21. Haha, safe to say, it's the only time I've ever had to catch my breath after going up a flight a stairs with a bass in a flight case! The balance it beautiful though, I've got a Neotech Mega for it, and going to see how I get on with it. I've also had recessed straplocks put on it, which just moves the neck ever so slightly towards me, which helps a lot! It's just a matter of getting used to it, I've noticed for a while I've had a fairly knotty back, so it's probably taken a bit of a shock having so much weight added! I've got a friend who's an expert in that side of the body though, so he's offered to 'fix me', and then I'll see how I get on! Sounds mega though!
22. Been pretty tied up recently, picked this beast up about a month ago. 2013 Streamer Stage 1, broad neck thru neck. Weighs quite a bit, so my shoulder will dictate whether or not it stays.
