1. i find it amazing that Fender can't even be bothered to spray the 3 tone burst all the way around the body!
2.
Just get your money back and chill out for a bit dude! Eude
Yeah, good idea
3. i have around 40 Bass Player (US) mags, 40 Bass guitar mags (UK) and 4 old Bassist mags (from 1999) Question is, are they worth anything?
4. I could never see myself actually buying such a fancy looking bass! i'll stick with good old solid / metallic colours
5.
Nice that but...... nicer... and only 7.15lbs (it's a hollow body)
There seems to be an issue with your bass!! The frets aren't on straight!
6.
I have to say not normally a fan of coffee tables but actually that is something special , under 8lbs aswell.
Exactly! i cant stand that sort of thing normally! There's just something about this one
7. WOW!! http://www.sadowsky.com/stock/view/5928.html
8.
It looks great with poth guards, but there is something so classy and classic about the white/parchment on CAR.
I think i would prefer the white one if it wasn't such a bright white! maybe parchment / mint would look better
9. Here's a few shots of my latest bass its amazing how different it looks with a different coloured scratchplate
10. When it comes to Sadowsky i always choose rosewood! The wood they use is Morado, it has a sound that sits somewhere in between maple and true rose wood, the best of both worlds really So i'd go for White - Rosewood or to throw a spanner in the works.................
11.
I'll take them mate. I need to bob over anyway ;-)
Cool, it'll be good to see you mate
12. 13. Nino Valenti would make you a bass with any spec you like http://www.valentibasses.com/ ive played 3 so far and they were all expertly built with excellent attention to detail! His prices seem very reasonable too
14.
I'd forget about buying blind .... too much hassle and stress and waiting time. I'd take the money and look out for a cash SH deal here that wouldn't lose much money if it didn't work out after a few months. I'd check out the Sadowsky 5 in vintage type spec on here and look to have to spend a day travelling getting what you want...for example It is the only way...go and look over the thing in situ and decide if it is everything you want. Sorry it didn't work out, but this has been nigh on a year getting these basses and it isn't working..so I wouldn't be looking at them again
+1 Get yourself a used Sadowsky and never look back mate!
15. Al bought my Squire jazz off me today! The deal couldn't have gone any smoother! Al even paid for my train fare home! amazing!
16. Has anyone tried these cabs out yet?? i'd love to have a pair!! probably the best looking cabs out there at the moment IMO
17.
Will a good clean and new strings turn my Precision into a vintage Gibson EB-2D?
Yes it will! you may have to tilt your head to one side and squint a little though..................
18. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!! im unbelievable!!!! just minutes after writing the above i found the PERFECT 30th birthday bass!!!! fingers crossed i'll be able to get it!!!! GAS!!!!!
19.
I rang GAK today (as I cancelled with the other store and re-ordered with GAK). Very very fair price as I bought a few other bits, much cheaper than everywhere else. My Jazz has also arrived! As its mail order Im not home until Weds as thats my non-working day, so, finally, ive got one. Ive also enquired about the MIA P bass price...I already have one, but its that good id like another.
isnt one good bass enough for anyone?? lol
20. I know many of us have sold great instruments and lived to regret it! (ive done this a few times) GAS is a terrible thing!! Now it may sound simple but ive come up with a way of really being sure about your current GAS cravings! This can save you lots of money and heartache! All you need to do is treat you and your bass to a really good clean up and a great set of new strings! This brings that bass back to life and reminds you why you bought it in the first place Try it next time your about to sell your number one bass!! it really works!
21.
Would you post it? A pal is after his first bass and I can float this past his nose!
I wouldn't like to post without a hard case to be honest mate
22. I recently picked this up from our very own 2x18 with the idea of striping it for parts so i can progress with my first prototype custom bass build! I have since decided to make a 5 string instead so it has remained in one piece and is just sat on my stand looking pretty! Unfortunately I now need to sell it to free up the cash to buy hardware / pickups / parts etc its in excellent condition and it plays beautifully!! its build quality puts many real fenders 5 x the price to shame!! Comes with a free "Ryder" gig bag too im asking £160 collected from keighley area, west yorkshire im willing to travel by train towards leeds / bradford / skipton etc to meet up if that helps call or text me on 07974317284 here's a few pics from the tinterweb i will post pics of actual bass later
