4. Thats fantastic news!! I just wish they'd let you order one where the pole pieces on the pickups and the string spacing matched!! i just couldn't get on with the two stingrays i had because of that issue! surely it cant be hard for them to modify? (rant over) Big +1 for skinny necked Rays!
5.
No mate, sorry, i need the money - who'd have thought how much orders of service, toasting wine and canapes etc cost?!?! Thanks though - please don't tell me what you'd have traded, as i'd probably be gutted that i'd miss out on something i'd really quite like!!!!! Cheers..
im gutted for you mate! having to sell these awesome cabs! Im saving up for my wedding too but so far ive managed to keep hold of my stuff! I hope all goes to plan and you two have a great day Good luck with the sale if i had the cash at least one of those cabs would be coming my way!
6. The DB410's are Great cabs!! I traded down to a DB210 recently and its been awesome! Highly recommended nice and compact too
7.
I couldn't resist the sun today to show off my new Alleva LG-5.
What a cracking bass!! Thanks for bringing it round the other day
8.
Sadowsky's everyday... The workmanship is outstanding and they are very versatile... the best instruments I have played... They seem to have a really nice second hand metro on their website for about your budget... Roger and the boys and girls at Sadowsky are a breeze to work with...
I'll second that!! £1000 should get you a great secondhand Sadowsky you wont find a better instrument for that kind of money (in my opinion)
9.
I got it screened inside the control cavity What's that mean?
Check this out http://www.audereaudio.com/FAQ_PUNoise.htm I personally think that this sort of thing should be done in the factory as standard on expensive basses like yours!
10. The mrs is away this weekend so ive got all my gear set up in the living room!! just thought some of you might like to see it
11. i think we should all watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zqV2ymf4-k sounds great to me
12. with your budget a Sadowsky NYC would be a great option! Roger could make you something really special! Getting my NYC changed the way i look at every other bass! Ooooooh im 30 next year! i better get saving! haha
13. At the time selling any bass is difficult for me! usually i get over it pretty quickly, but i sometimes miss my Sadowsky UV70 and my Bravewood jazz, Lovely basses!!! but i certainly cant complain with what im lucky enough to have right now
14. Hey guys Anybody in need of a Sadowsky Flatwound B string??? It's been on my P5 for about a day (we didnt get on) hit me with your postage details and i will post it out when i get the chance Cheers Chris
15. absolutely awesome gig bag! wouldn't trust my basses in anything else
16. i used to happen to me when my band rehearsed in my mates attic i was using a geddy lee fender which seemed to have poor shielding in the electronics department!! haha i got all kinds of crazy radio stations! all of which were in languages i dont speak! lol
17. For years i'd convinced myself that i liked maple boards..... ...until i got my NYC Sadowsky with a Brazilian rosewood board! it sounds fantastic, lovely and smooth with a really sweet high end! The Morado board on my Metro Sadowsky sounds very close to maple but without that awful clanky GAWK sound that ive found some maple boarded basses to have
18.
Er.. aren't Metros precisely that, albeit in a more expensive price range? He might oversee the operation in Tokyo but he's not building them, so as Metros are around half the price of an NYC then I think they count as "budget"
i think you missed my point! Metro's are built to the same quality level as NYC's (Roger says so himself) but with less colour/wood/custom options, hence the lower price point. i dont see over £1500 as a budget model....... by budget i meant more like a sub £400 bass (absolutely nothing wrong with basses of that price by the way) he could bang out thousands of those if he wanted but thats just not what he's about.
19.
Would you (or your mate) be interested in a Cort Curbow fretted five string in black? Only six months old?
thanks for the offer but i dont think he's after five strings at the moment Cheers chris
