1.
Or... they'd move to a bigger workshop, employ more staff, make more money for themselves, sell cheaper basses and everyone would be happy!!
I think the whole reason fodera's are so good is because its one guy who makes them all. Anything else just wouldnt be the same and the brand would be diluted and thats not what they want. I dont think they're in it for the money! Look at brands like sadowsky! He could churn out thousands of basses if he brought out a budget range and employed loads more staff, but what would be the point in that?? Quality would suffer and so would the name and reputation of the company
2. Here's another thing to consider...... if Fodera's basses were more affordable, say £3000 then they would have double if not triple the orders which would push the waiting list through the roof and then everyone would be disappointed!! Maybe they are priced this way to control the work flow in that tiny workshop?? im sure ive watched a video with one of the main guys pretty much saying that!
3. im shocked at the lack of trade offers!! haha anyone fancy a cheeky swap?
4. Marcus!! I'd love to buy this bass off you! U always seem to get hold of the nicest examples Good luck with the sale ( if i get the money together this one's mine)
5. are u interested in a trade?? (plus some cash from my end) http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=77456

8.
I must admit, and this is no reflection on what others may have found, but I prefer the Aguilar 'sound' over even more boutique manufacturers. They are the perfect blend of great looks, great build, awesome tone, smooth horn, great articulate performance, and the ability to do balls out rock/metal as well as jazz/blues and still 'fit in'. Not only that, but they are held with high regard throughout the bass world. The white is cool....but get a cover!
yeah if i go for it i'll def get matching covers!! oh man for the first time in a while i have serious GAS!!
9. Well i guess i could always trade/sell the 2x10 on at a later date and get another 1x12?! hmmmmmm Look how gorgeous the white hot ones are wow!!!
10. Hey I already have an aguilar 2x10 but i really like the idea of their 1x12's! ideally i'd like to sell the 2x10 and buy 2 1x12's in the new white hot finish! but this would cost around £800 so i thought about the option of keeping the 2x10 and adding a second hand 1x12! (a much more cost effective option) so i wondered if any of you had tried running a 2x10 with a 1x12?? did you have good or bad results? any advice / thoughts are welcome Cheers Chris
11. WHAT A BAND! and what a bass player!! its Rocco isn't it??
12. Dam it!! this looks gorgeous! im looking for stuff to sell now! lol
13. Here's my mates lovely 1979 Ibanez Musician (MC900??) This one's currently for up sale here on basschat If i could afford it i'd buy it myself!
14.
Fair play, I hadn't seen it. "Bangers and mash" springs to mind!
hhhahahahahaahhahahahhahaha
15. Maybe fender is a bad example but i know if i had £900 i certainly wouldn't buy a cheaper end bass and upgrade it!! with all the great basses that come up for sale on here that £900 could really get you something fantastic!!! you'd have so much choice at that kind of money! also with the higher end stuff that £900 can get you on the second hand market your almost guaranteed way better playability, wood's, build quality, finish etc etc etc and you have the knowledge that someone who knows what they're doing has put it together, your not just Guessing what pickups will sound right in your cheapo squire!
16.
I'm looking to move on my immaculate DB112 in black, which I bought just before christmas and has never left the house. Build quality and sound quality of these cabs are amazing but considering the size, is still a bit weighty and bulky. I'm moving to uni soon so could do with a slightly smaller alternative in the form of the New York 121 by Markbass. It comes with a Roqsolid cover. Not really looking for sale at the moment as I am continual need of a cab, alas the trade. Saying that, I may add a price in the future depending on how the search of the NY121 goes. I can put pictures up for any serious interest.
Hi i'd love to know what price you'd like for this if you decide to sell let me know Cheers Chris
17. I think i Sadowsky would work well for you! plenty of tone options Maybe a PJ would cover more ground than a JJ.......
18. the elixirs are great!! i love the sound of the high C string! the bass plays way better too for some reason! much happier with it now
19.
That Studio went for £350 - a bargain in my book. G.
Yeah that was a bargain!!
20.
hello, the photos are out of focus, difficult to see il the crack on the back of the neck is a lacquer finish or a crack in the wood and the extent of the rashes on the back. Is it the original controls cover plate ? Thank you
Hi as stated the bass is all original including cover plate, electronics etc etc etc i will post better pics asap as all i had to hand was the camera on my phone cheers
