http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars...ndname=Sadowsky The metro basses are really nice! i love mine! its had more action than my NYC lately! you can pick them up second hand for around £1000 which is pretty dam good if you ask me
7. Ive got to say that this has to be one of THE most gorgeous (non fender style) basses ive ever seen!!! good luck with the sale!
8. Colin's a cracking bloke! Totally hassle free deal with instant payment! Nice one
9. would it be too predictable for me to say Sadowsky??? Thought so..... I'll get my coat
10. For me it's gotta be playing on every track of Texas based band The Secret Handshake's new record!! I've been a fan for ages so being asked to do it and getting paid for it is just awesome!! That along with the fact that there's thousands of people out there in the world enjoying that CD, millions of plays on myspace and knowing that even roger sadowsky took the time to check my tracks out (he loved it) really makes me proud of it!
11. Hi I bought these a few weeks ago to put in my sadowsky metro, they're awesome pickups! Trouble is im probably gonna be selling that bass pretty soon so i put the originals back in! so these wonderful wizards now need a new home Cost £70 + Postage Sell for £50 Posted!
12.
That's a huuuuge neck pocket gap. I like the colour combos though!
+1 Pretty unacceptable neck pocket if you ask me!! or is that part of the "retro" vibe too haha
13. Every Ray ive played (owned 3, played 8 others) has had the weak G string disease!! whats that all about?
14. The retail price really has jumped up in the last 18 months! when i bought my first Metro the price for a RV4/MV4 was around £1150-£1200 now they're more like £1600 and thats all because of the exchange rate! i was lucky to get my NYC last summer while it was 2 dollars to the pound! ($4085 including shipping = just over £2000) The same bass today would cost me nearly £2600!!! ouch!! lol
15. hey! first of all i'd suggest you look mainly at second hand instruments! you will get a lot more bass for your money that way and you might be supprised just what around £300 can get ya! I would probably go for something like a G&L Tribute! very versatile instruments! there's one here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=59533 or maybe a nice second hand Jazz
16. 17. Being a sadowsky owner I have to fully agree with Rich!! They are fantastic instruments! I've never seen better build quality! I actually have a metro RS4 that I'm possibly selling let me know if your interested Cheers chris
18.
Volume, low pass filter with resonant peak control and high pass filter with boost. I bet you wish you'd never asked It's a ACG02 pre amp. Peter
Man that sounds insane!! how easy would it be to make it passive? or does that pre sound pretty retro already?
19.
The Warmoth Dark Star ACG.
WOW!!! What a bass!!! what do all those controls do?
20. That is Gorgeous!!!! congratulations mate!! if you ever decide to sell you know who to call
21. anyone interested? anyone got a Sadowsky Metro PJ 5 string for trade??
22. for me its gotta be anything inspired by the jazz bass! i just love the down sized bodies on my sadowsky's!
23.
WOW im really suprised to hear this about Sadowsky...maybe there having a few quality issues..
hahahahahahahaha! errrrrm yeah...like that would happen, lol i think people have to understand that Sadowsky's aren't for everyone. Its almost like saying everybody should like the same food, drink, cars, clothes, etc etc we all have different tastes The hype that surrounds them has got a little ridiculous, making everyone believe playing a Sadowsky will be a life changing experience. For some it is, others expect too much and also expect instant results, take a Sadowsky out of a shop and play it at a gig or two to find out what they're really about tone wise! At the end of the day though, they are just a bass, but put together with a little more care than most and with regards to the tone ,Roger himself admits that his basses DO NOT sound like Fenders, they sound like Sadowsky's So if your looking for the ultimate fender jazz sound you need to buy a fender, if your looking for a more modern twist on the fender sound then Sadowsky is one of many options out there
