1. hey after starting off with my frankenstien jazz passive! i then changed it to an audere active pre! ive now changed it back to passive as the audere pre just seemed to make everything so noisey (i even picked up what sounded like russian radio!?) despite having my bass professionally screened! passively it sounds way more natural, its smoother and generally a nicer tone with little or no noise now it could just be that particular pre in that particular bass? who knows? but the natural sound of the wizard pickups with the passive stack pot arrangment just sounds lovely for me the active circuit in that bass just sounded too brittle and artificial has anyone else modified their basses but found that it was better before??
2.
Markbass stuff would sound nice with your new cab.
ooh i forgot about mark bass ive never had chance to try that stuff before......for me its hard to believe that they are gonna be loud enough coz they're so flippin small! do they really have the "balls" to cope with really loud drummers? and duel rectifiers?
3. Hey im starting to think that since changing bands in the last few months this head really isn't the right sound for me anymore it is totally awesome for that rock/in your face sound! and if i was still doing that sort of thing there'd be no way id sell it! but ive moved on from that and need a more...dare a say hifi sound its in pretty much mint condition and its been in a shock mounted rack case all its life, i bought it new from sound control 2 years ago so im open to cash or trade offers (amp heads only please i have enough cabs and i dont need a combo etc) or if anyone is feeling flush and wants an absolute monster rig why not buy this and my matching roadready cab!?! if you want to do that i'll sort out some kind of deal hit me with your offers cheers
4. hi today my aguilar db410 turned up and its a lovely cab my only problem is that my mesa big block 750 head is a little too "rock" for me now i want something more versitile and maybe even hifi sounding! i tried the newer trace elliot stuff the other week and kinda liked it....... does anyone have advice on whats best to get? are we talkin ebs?...eden?....aguilar?...trace?.....euphonic audio?..............erm? lol i currently play fender jazz basses with j retro and audere pre's i'd love to be able to get that awesome slap/marcus miller style tone and i dont think its gonna come from my mesa head! anyone anyone fancy a trade??.........might stick it up for sale/trade for rock stuff the mesa kicks ass!! especially that crazy overdrive! anyway.... any advice would be awesome cheers
5. are you into trades?? for my mesa bass cab http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry198655
6. HAHAHAHAHA im loving the theme we've got going here! nice one guys
7. as the description says im now quite into the idea of trading this for an amp and smaller cab set up (1x15,4x10, any 12's etc) or even a head and a bass? a bass and a cab? a good combo and erm..................a bass? lol just hit me with your offers i'll consider them all (now i know im gonna get some silly ones lol:) ) Hi ive owned this wonderful cab for roughly 3 years now, i bought it new so its only had the one careful owner! it really is one hell of a monster! the only reason im sellin this is that since my band practice space got broken into at christmas (and nearly everything got nicked) the band never went back and this has since been sat doing nothing at my dads work, how kind of him to store it for me i dont have anywhere to put it now and its just way too big for me to use so it really needs a new home! plus i have just ordered a aguilar DB 4x10 in chocolate thunder!! YES!! haha! its been gigged about 6-8 times and is in pretty dam good nick! its bloody bomb proof.......its only picked up a few scuffs and scrapes here and there on the aluminum edges, which does mark pretty easily to be fair! i dont think you'll find a tougher cab around! plus it has the detachable front cover so all the speakers are protected! right on to price.....i paid £2000 for this and im sure they aren't any cheaper now! i'd like £1000 or nearest offer or i may be interested in a trade for a nice bass.........something like lakland, sadowsky metro, gb spitfire, maybe a fender with a bit of age! etc ,........no stingrays/sterlings/bongos please! i may even consider a bass plus cash if its something thats not of the same value oh and i think i have a pic somewhere and i'll try and get it up on here asap! for tech spec and a review of this awesome cab please see the links below... so let me know if you are interested im happy to take calls or texts on 07974 317 284 cheers here's a review http://www.mesaboogie.com/Reviews/BigBlock...5/PH1000-05.htm and here's some mesa website blurb http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/Bas...bass1000-LG.htm Performance Features: 1000 Watts 8 or 4 Ohms 1x15 & 4x10 Custom Mesa PowerHouse Speakers Custom Mesa Neodymium High Frequency Horn Exclusive Tuned Front Ported “Tri-Port” Design Player Control Network™ featuring: Selectable 3-point Crossover (3k/4k/5k), Premium Horn Attenuator, Instant Reset Horn Protection, Speakon & ¼” Inputs AND Outputs Finish & Construction: Our Premier Bass Cabinet whose Cabinet is a Road Case! 11.
I'm selling and EBS HD350 head which is racked in an SKB flitecase along with a Korg DTR2000 digital tuner. This lot would cost around £1200.00 new. It is in immaculate condition, has only really had studio use and is in full working order. The head will carry the remainder of the EBS warranty. If you know EBS equipment, you'll know that it is top notch, powerful and light. The tuner is Korg's top of the range and it is plugged into the head so that you can tune without unplugging your axe. The SKB case is black and ABS (plastic), very light and strong. I would like £500 for all three items. Owen.
PM'D
