I have the rh750 which i use in a death metal band. I used to pair it with a Schroeder 1212l (which is listed in the for sale forum) and it was stupidly loud against a hard hitting drummer and two guitarists. Never go past the 4th notch for rehearsal and gigs. It's a great 'one lift' set up. The features of the rh750 are also excellent.

Having come to the realisation that this is a bit too much amp for my current needs I have decided to put it up for sale. Sale is for: Genz Benz ShuttleMax 12.0 + Footswitch + Gig Skinz 2U Rack Bag + Genz Benz official rack mounts and includes delivery to UK. This is a fantastic light weight amp (7 kg including rackbag, 4 kg without) capable of delivering a serious amount of bass no matter the live situation. 2 x 600 watt @ 4 ohm dual power amps. FET channel gives a very clean precise tone and Tube Channel provides overdrive. Channels can be mixed. This amp is capable of delivery a large variety of tones with the multi-channel EQ, bass boost, mid scoop and Hi Boost. I have used this in black and death metal bands with two guitarists and hard hitting drummer and have always been able to keep up volume wise no matter what cab it has been run through. Any questions please ask. Not interested in trades. Faulty Bass Electronics - Cutting out and in
CXIII replied to CXIII's topic in Repairs and Technical
Cheers lads. Will leave it in to get all the soldering checked and fixed. -
Hi All, Looking for suggestions as to the cause of the following problem: I have an ESP/Ltd F404 which the sound is intermittently cutting out when I slap the strings. The electronics I have installed are two EMG 40DC pups and the EMG BQS preamp system (replaced stock electronics after they blew-out). When playing it recently I noticed that the sound would cut to a low, distorted/fuzzy noise (akin to the battery dying) or cut out all together. Trying to figure out the cause I noticed that the sound cuts out when I slap the strings and then if I smack the strings again the sound will come back at full volume. To me it sounds like a surge of some sort, possibly an earthing issue as the bridge pickup hisses when i put my finger on it. I have checked batteries and leads etc and thats not the problem. Has anyone experienced similar problems or has any recommendations? Would like to give the local guitar/repair store a heads up as to what it might be. Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

Switch to the TC Electronic style rig from large Ashdown all Valve rig
CXIII replied to CPBass's topic in Amps and Cabs
I moved from an ashdown abm II 500 to an rh450 through a range of different cabs. I really liked the rh450, the build quality and all the features are fantastic but I couldn't settle on a decent sound. I got an excellent deal on a genz benz shuttle 12.0 and haven't looked back. Not as plush as the rh450/750 but it has the capability to dial in a wealth of tones, its light and packs a serious punch. I play in death/black metal bands with two guitars and if I choose to do so, can drown out the rest of the band. I pair it with a schroeder 1212l and a trace elliot 1518c, very portable rig. -

FS Genz Benz ShuttleMax 12.0 *£500*
CXIII replied to onehappybunny's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
You'll not be disappointed flippyfloop. I've had one for about 6 months now. Finally got to set it up with all my cabs last night (schroeder 1212l, trace elliot 1518c and TE bright box). I play in a very loud death metal band and the venue we played is a 500 capacity hall. The sound man wouldn't let me turn the output volume past 1 (with the channel gains at 12 o'clock and volumes at 9/10 o'clock), ridiculously loud and a bloody versatile wee amp. -

Cheers guys. I think I'll give the copydex approach ago Phil. The material that is punctured is still there so should be able to plug the hole.
