3-2-1 ALEX!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure he'll be along soon. . AlexClaber, he's a good bloke to ask about such things
4. I get this and it drives me nuts. Unfortunately. the reason my wrist rubs against the bass is due to the angle I'm forced to adopt due to an elbow injury sustained a few years ago. I always use a wrist band, it's the only thing I've found that works well. Pete
5. That top is just exquisite mate, damn well done
6.
snip...if you drive go to NorthAllerton, the guys in there (Tinman knows the shops name) are diamonds, its a small shop off the main drag...snip
+1 to that, the guys in there are brilliant. The name of the shop is Rockbox
7. I'm sorry but that has to be one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. It looks like it's been built by someone with the same eye for aesthetics as Tracy Emin. 10 out of 10 for innovation but, no sorry, I don't get it. (All IMO of course )
8.
snip.............Of these I believe the most important qualities are the woods.................snip
Good God man, don't let ARGH see this I had(and sold) an Ibanez BTB 5 string that had a 35" scale. The B string on it was great. In fact the BTB 4 that I have is also 35. I don't really notice that much of a difference in feel between that and a 34
9.
Paint it black.... that'll fix all those marks in the wood
Now that would just be silly. Who wants a plain paint job anyway
10. This is rather gorgeous to me, more so due to the fact that it's mine Buckeye Burl is just beautiful
11. We're still looking. Anyone? Come on, someone must know a guitard that's not doing anything. Normally you turn over a rock and 3 crawl out, so how come we can't find one. Help a guy out? Cheers Pete

Yamaha BB615

Robby Takac uses the BB series and he does alright IMO
13. Nice one! That is something I would love to do. Enjoy
14. The write up in your link seems to give a basic idea of the sound. Failing that, give Andy a ring, I'm sure he'll help you out
15. Hrmm, I've been thinking about doing this to my 4 string BTB for quite a while now. Need new pickups first though
16. Arizona by the Kings of Leon. It's a slow one but I think the bass line is great. Have a listen
17. Look here http://www.trace-elliot.co.uk/ They've got a good range of cabs these days, better than when I bought their stuff. Their heads have changed too, 2 x 600W in the 12 band range or a straight 600W in the 7 band. Cheers Pete
18. Mr Brightside - The Killers. Great bass line. Are you gonna be my girl? - Jet Sex on Fire - Kings of Leon Everyday I love you less and less - Kaisers (I play the keyboard part on the bass, it's good fun) Times like these - The Foo Fighters (thing is with them, is that there are quite a few songs with straight 8's) I can't actually remember any Stereophonics tracks with a prominent bass line of the top of my head. I'm sure someone else will come along with some ideas though. Pete
19. As it says in the title really 'Running with Scissors' desperately need a lead guitarist to get going again. We're a covers band in the Coningsby area of Lincolnshire playing anything from Snow Patrol to Green Day (although we'd be quite happy to change some of that to suit) We need someone with a mature attitude and a willingness to work in their own time. Own gear and transport is a must. If you are interested or know someone who might be, just drop me a PM Cheers Pete
20. Mate, it's stunning. I have one problem though.......why did you have it made upside down? Seriously though BM, it's a real looker. I hope that the pain of the wait has vanished.
21.
Anyone know what the cheapest source of DR stings is now the exchange rate to the dollar is rubbish??
Just bought a set of Sunbeams from Stringbusters for £28.50. £1.50 of which was postage. Just googled them and saw that Absolute Music are doing them for £23.00 Oh, I thought until I saw they're postage costs £6.00. £6.00???????? WTF?
22. Rockbox in Northallerton. Staffed by two great blokes. So good in fact, that I'll travel 2 and a half hours to get there.
23. That looks superb Steve, nice one
24. Peavey actually do their Pro 410 cabinet in both 4 and 8 Ohms. I knew I'd seen it somewhere
