2. Still rather interested in the Hartke Kilo 1000 I'll be all over it like a rash when they sort out distribution
3. That's a real shame there fella. However, as you say, it's better that it arrives perfectly set.
4. Anything pointy Ewwwwwwww Not keen on the shape of Jaydee's either. I expect the sound and play great but they're just not pleasing to my eye.
5.
A socket tester is only good if you know what you're looking at, and it won't tell you if the neutral and earth are reversed.
http://www.trueshopping.co.uk/product.php?...30V_14_Function I realise that this won't tell you that they're reversed but, it will tell you if there is a fault on either line.
6.
What constitutes decent gear?
That was going to be my question. @the OP. You're in Harrogate, it might be worth you talking to Iain at Rockbox in Northallerton. What's in his shop represents about a third of his actual stock, so there's a good chance he may have something of interest to you.
7.
That one with the basses upstairs..2 tiers, down a small alleyway round the corner of Natwest? All Pianosynths and sheet music downstairs?
That's the one. Rockbox upstairs and Greensleeves on the groundfloor.
8. That looks superb mate. It'll make Christmas a lot more merry for you no doubt
9. I still make the 180 mile round trip to the shop in Northallerton. The guys in there are superb, they don't try and coax you into buying stuff you don't need and they've stopped me making some costly mistakes. The nearest shops to me are in either Lincoln or Boston. I've been in them all and they're rubbish, with staff that can talk a good instrument but wouldn't actually recognise one if it smacked them on the head.
10. That's odd, I thought I'd already answered this in your other thread. Oh well
11. Great stuff. Me and the clown are looking forward to it.
12. I AB'd the Transporter and the XL cabs and to my mind was a no-brainer. The XL cabs are way better sounding. Yes they're a bit heavier but it's worth it for the difference in quality (I ended up with two 4x10 XLs and they sound enormous )
13. Yes Simply unscrew one end and look at the connections. If you see two separate wires (red/blue or something like that) then it will be a speaker cable. If it doesn't look like that then chances are it's line lead. Edit: I've added a link to the Klotz site, which shows an example of speaker cable. 20.
£50 P+P? I assume he's wrapping it in stocks and shares
Yeah, I thought that Si He's also got it up on Gumtree where he's asking for £400. Either he got ripped off when he bought it or............
21. Have a look at this one. He says he bought it for £699 3 months ago. Goodness knows where, as it looks like you can get them for £428. Still it might be worth watching.
