Anyone who has ever covered a Bob Dylan song for openers

I think so too!! Also everyone who has coverd a Leonard Cohen song.
I'll add anyone that has covered a Beatles song *runs for cover* Not sure if their covers are better or not but they're certainly priceless - Hayseed Dixie
 2. Edit: this is withdrawn. Mods could you delete this please. Cheers Pete
 3. That's good to hear mate, you've waited long enough. It's going to be a spectacular instrument.
 4.
There are worse ideas*. Here's a 70 page tutorial on how to do it. http://www.ibanezpodxt.com/RelicTutorial.pdf The key seems to be to take it all to bits and do them individually (don't loose any of them now, unless that's part of the look), and also remember you're aiming to make it look like it's been held and loved for many years, not like it's been abused for the same length of time. D. * ok, not many, but there are some.
Look, stop giving her ideas will you, she's enough trouble as it is without any outside help.
 5.

Oh, and you think that's funny do you, young man?
 6.
i see a divorce coming on... yes i can imagine tinman now, sitting in the house on his own, only his basses and the computer for company
Now THERE'S an idea
 7.
You have gone and spoiled all my fun now I was going to 'do' your Shuker as your surprise Christmas present Oh well, guess I'll just have to think of something else
If you come anywhere near my Shuker with anything more abrasive than a duster, it will be you getting the file treatment, I kid you not woman.
 8. That's just obscene If an instrument gets worn through use, then fair enough but to do that is just wrong.
 9. I'm praying that my bass GAS will be cured when the Shuker arrives (no guarantees mind). Downside of that is I'll probably have amp GAS instead
 10. Result!!! Nice one Si
 11.
Hercules. They do two and three bass stands as well although one guy did have one collapse on him. Try doing a search on Hurcules.
Yeah, mine collapsed on me, must have been a Friday afternoon one. I've had no problems with the replacement Hercules sent me though.
 12. In my limited experience you need at least a 10 inch speaker or preferably a 15. I know there's manufacturers out there who use smaller than 8 inch speakers (Phil Jones) but for us mere mortals the standard size is enough. Have you tried the Hartke Kickback 15 or A100 combos? IMO they're brilliant and they can double up as a stage monitor too as they have a DI out.
 13.
I think the bass was just about to be picked up - it's hiding behind my right leg, next to the strap. See it? - gold pg, black bodied. Ta Terri, not that I needed the ego fix. At some point I will announce my brimming unrequited love for you. But I've yet to work out whether Tinman is the jealous type *shady-eyes*
Tell me what basses you own and I'll see if we can come to some arrangement
 14. Nice one Mike. That's looking lovely
 15. It can't be that far off surely, now the pickups have arrived. Hopefully soon Mike eh? Pete
 16.
I find it worrying that people say a sweatband will cure the problem. It's not a cure - it may prevent certain undesirable symptoms but in the long term, you could be doing yourself a very grave disservice.... Fixing your technique will cure the problem.
Unfortunately, due to sustaining a major injury to my right elbow, I can't play without resting my wrist on the bass. So a sweatband has cured the problem for me. As it is, I had to change my technique radically if I was to carry on playing (took a while mind you)
 17. Odd that. I always thought imperial was all the same but then a US gallon is different to a UK one. Are there different sizes of truss rod? I suppose there must be.
 18.
Three basses (Warwick Fortress 1, Yamaha BBG5 which is for sale and a Yamaha RBX fretless), three guitars (Musicman Silhouette, Patrick Eggle Berlin, Taylor acoustic). Three: it's the magic number.
Wow!!! Another Patrick Eggle owner, good man. I have a rather stunning '93 Vienna.
 19. Always been keyboards for me. I've been in several bands and only ever found one.
 20. 3 at the moment, 4 when my Shuker gets here. When that arrives, there's a good chance I'll be selling one of my others as I know it won't get used
 21.
I do like buckeye burl a lot. Only problem being that it is becoming a lot more common.
Yup, that's me all over
 22. Oh goody! This gives another opportunity to go on about todays favourite subject 'Buckeye Burl' Do it, you know you want to and if you do you'll have loads of people spotting wildlife in the finish
 23.
I'll take that as the compliment you clearly meant it to be
Of course it was a compliment, lunacy makes life interesting.
 24.
Ta A very close second was the next slice from your buckeye burl log .. We spent hours sitting and looking at all the shapes in thepatterns in the picture of it I took when I was at Jon's .. animals, devils, frogs riding Stuka's loads of stuff and were even sober
You Sir, are as mad as my good lady wife: frogs, sloths etc
