2. Played a gig in the main office of the Radar Station on the top Of Mount Kent in the Falklands. They had to move all the computer desks to one side. If that wasn't particularly unusual in itself, the drive up and down the mountain certainly was

I can barely see to make this post and I was the same last night when I found out. I'm devastated and my thoughts and sympathies go out to his family and friends. I have warm memories of Si's visit. I took him around the RAF base where I am stationed (he loved aircraft) and as you can see from the photos that my good lady posted; we had a lot of fun. Si was one of the reasons I went for a Shuker, he even phoned Jon while I was there to make sure I hadn't got lost in the famous wood store. He is sorely missed. Rest in Peace friend. Pete
4. Ordered yesterday and it's now sat at the house waiting for me to get home. How's that for service? I may just use GAK again
5. Thanks for that. I've just ordered one
6.
In the end I went for the Line6 G30 and I have to say it's great! No sound difference between my leads and this wireless unit. I highly recommend it, you won't be dissapointed. It's great to have the freedom to move around and not to worry about stepping on your cable, something I'm really good at
Can I ask where you got it from? I'm almost certain to be picking one of these up.
7.
Update Have had it for quite a while now! Its the only cab i use and will probably ever use! Never had a problem with the replaced one. It is sturdy enough for gigging and soundwise is exactly what i am looking for! Props to Alex for a quality product.
Likewise. Although I haven't had mine for as long, I can't see me wanting anything else (especially as I'm now using Robs ex preamp with it:))
8. Just sold my two 4x10XLs, brilliant cabs, I can't rate them highly enough but they were so damn heavy.
9. I think the general rule of thumb is in the region of 2/3rds of the market price. Especially for a pristine example.
10. Be afraid, be very afraid
11. Had great dealings with them when my stand broke. They sent me a new one and a couple of sets of strings as a sweetner
12. Good spot
13. I make sure I use a coaster with mine
14. Bump for a nice bass and a smashing fella. Good luck with the sale mate
15.
Yes, correct, the bass guitar is a bass guitar and the double bass, as it's commonly known, is a bass viol.
Or Bull Fiddle, maybe we should call ours a Bull Axe or something
16. Beautiful! I can feel another visit coming along I wonder what one of those uberhorns would look like all draped in Buckeye....hrmmmm
17. Keep at it Fredster - it'll come good in the end mate
18. Stunning there fella. Good choice!
19. That's the only downside to them. Other than they are brilliant. The weight is the reason I decided to change (I'm 47) They're ideal for a youngster or someone who has a roadie.
20. And back to the first page with you
21. Seeing as how I'm now the proud owner of a Barefaced Vintage, I no longer have a use for these superb cabs. Hartke 410XL Manufacturers blurb: http://www.samsontech.com/products/product...5&brandID=3 It's been well used but is perfect working order, the only defects are that the fabric covering has become a bit 'fluffy' and the 'XL Series badge is missing from the grill but this is purely cosmetic. 400W, 8 Ohm £120 Hartke 4.5XL. Manufactures blurb: http://www.samsontech.com/products/product...4&brandID=3 This is much newer than my 410 and is in perfect condition both functionally and cosmetically. This comes with a fitted Roqsolid cover. 400W, 8 Ohm £190 £300 for the pair. Edit: I forgot to add that these will punch the enamel off your teeth and make even drainpipe jeans flap. I have no access to pics at the moment but will get some if required. Pick up or meet would be better as these cabs are heavy and would cost a considerable amount to courier. I will however send at buyers expense. Trades? A half decent 500W+ Amp head would suit me down to the ground. Cheers Pete
22. I've done this to my 'new edition' Trace 1210 combo with no problems. The whole head unit is encased, which is great. I just have to be careful of the controls getting knocked (when in it's original postion, the box overhangs at the front and back)
23.
Get the BFB Vintage in the For sale section.
Absolutely. I've just come down from a rig consisting of two Hartke 4x10 XLs and my new Vintage easily blows them away. I even had to turn down!!
24. In the manual for my Trace it says it's fine. Have a look in the book first
