So, who's going to sell me their cabs then?
Having owned both 2x12's & 1x12's, I've definitely decided I wouldn't go back to a 2x12 unless I had a larger vehicle and/or a roadie, lol. The 2x12 is about 70lbs and that's just too much for me to want to lug in and out of the car on any sort of regular basis. The DB is also a relatively deep cab if I remember rightly at about 18" and I found that a bit 'clumsy' to carry - you have to remember that I'm an old git of course I've found having a single 12 is great for rehearsals and smaller gigs. In fact the last gig I played at I used my second cab purely as a 'stand' for the first. Having both cabs on was just too boomy in the venue we were playing and a single cab worked just fine. So - summary from me is that the flexibility of two cabs always seems to work better for my use
2 separate 12's it is then!

Thanks for the input guys. So that's 2 cabs +2, 1 cab +1. I think i'd be happier with 2 but like to hear peoples opinions.
I'd go for the 212. You don't need two tweeters for two speakers and they're not that big, and you can always just turn down on the amp. Plus it's cheaper than buying two 112s
Thanks for that, size and weight is a consideration but the 212's have wheels I believe. Originally I was looking for 1 with and 1 without tweeter (112's that is) but as there seems to be so few around second hand I think I can't be that fussy...plus i guess you can always turn one tweeter off. As for price, well i can't stretch to brand new anyways so hoping something will turn up soon. What i'm trying to find out is whether the 212 would sound 'louder' or 'bigger' than 2 x 112's....

As some of you will have noticed i'm looking for a pair of Aguilar DB112's at the moment. I know that with 2 cabs I would have the option to use just 1 cab for quiet gigs (which i do from time to time) but most of the time i'm playing with a loud guitarist and drummer so i'm starting to think that maybe I'd be better buying a 4ohm DB212 cab instead. Has anyone compared the 2 setups? ie: 2x112 vs 1x212? If MOST of the the time i'm going to use the 2 cabs will I gain anything volume or tone wise by using a DB212 instead? I'd appreciate any advice on this as i'm just about to fork out my hard earned.

SOLD! OK guys, hairspray and shoulder pads at the ready. Here we have late 80's / early 90's translucent pond-slime green VANTAGE 325B. Not exactly a high end 4 stringer but a well put together Ash bodied, 2 pickup, low actioned, slim-necked pointy beauty. Lovingly assembled by Korean luthiers, has a few dinks here and there. Good quality, solid hardware, in fact quite a sturdy axe. The action is low and the neck is not warped. Action can be tweaked by you to your liking. Would benefit from a new set of strings as the ones on it are past their heyday. Was hoping my son was going to learn on it but is more interested in Mario and Zelda. No case but will pack very well. How about £100 posted to a UK address? Sound fair? PAYPAL please. Form an orderly queue!
